"A great camera, if you learn how to use it!"
20 April 2013
Pros: Excellent flash, good ppi (Pixel Per Inch) for camera's time; even when using 720p, easy to use features with on-screen descriptions, comfortable and well designed button/switch placements and locations, excellent stabilization when activated, 12MP.
Cons: Noisy lens when focusing or zooming, limited remaining video time counter for larger cards; still works fine though, focusing issues at close range even if set correctly (within 6in/15cm), pictures are easily blurred if settings are used incorrectly.
Summary: Out of all of the cameras I have ever owned, this is probably one of the best. It has loads of great features including a dozen different settings for a great picture. Includes 5x optical zoom for getting close to an object still with a good quality image.
Excerpt: best quality in low light, bright light, and video capability. Not sure how they can improve on it, but I am sure they will come up with some greater ideas. Very dependable camera. Maybe they can come up with a long life battery that would replace using AA's.
Excerpt: kodak easyshare z1285 12.0 digital camera is the best gift i got so far. I'v had it for a couple years now, and im still learning different tricks with it, i love it so much. I use it everyday. It's mp are awesome, all its features are brilliant. i looooove it!! if this one breaks i'll probably get it again.
Excerpt: I took photography in high school and even created a still picture video the old fashioned way. Back then not having the resourses to continue my passion, I pretty much dropped it, Until I got my new Kodak Digital camera, I didn't know just how easy doing photo shoots could be. For half the price yet without cutting any quality, I can take pictures and the result I get is being consistantly asked, "How much did that cost you?
Excerpt: Kodak EasyShare Z1285 is good little camera. When my Fuji starting shutting off on me I purchased a refurbished Z1285 off ebay for $99. I am very happy with it and would recommend to others. I haven't used it alot but the pictures I've taken were HD and much better than the Fuji 9mp non HD.
The Kodak Easyshare Z1285 is great for expert or beginner.

Excerpt: I got this Kodak Easyshare Z1285 almost a year ago. I had a Vivitar that was a great camera, so it was gonna be hard to top. But the Kodak had alot more megapixels, had HD video and alot more settings and more zoom. I got the camera and I absolutely love it. The LCD screen is huge. The camera is lightwieght. The shape is not akward like some of the cameras I've used.
Great image quality wiht a ton of customizable settings.

Excerpt: Purchased for a trip to europe adn wanted the best quality I could get with a budget of $300. Purchased the camera for $200 and with memory card (I went for the highest capacity 8GB) with all the shipping spent right at $300. As for the camera the auto setting has a tendancy to get fuzzy if you are not perfectly still, but the stabilization mode fixes that. Other that that there is great clerity wich allows you to enlarge wiothout the image getting blocky.
Excerpt: This camera is just perfect for me. I was a beginner until I got this camera. Now, I feel that I can pursue my hobbie and may turn it into a career : ). It is user friendly and I really do feel that I am a photgapher. My family and friends now are always asking me to take their picture.
Excerpt: This is probably one of the only products I own that I absolutely hate with a passion. And I don't use the word hate lightly. I have two, may I say, adorable little kids, and this camera does pictures of them no justice. I am seriously thinking something is wrong with mine based on the glowing reviews other people gave. The processor is so slow, so if taking multiple pictures it will freeze up or take "blank" pictures that simple fill up memory.
