Summary: I bought the Kodak Z1285 about 3 weeks ago on Amazon for $149.95 and I was initially skeptical about so many features for such a low price. After shooting about 100 pictures and about 20 minutes of video, I feel that my purchase was a good one. Here's the pro's and con's why...
Summary: I was excited when I purchased this camera.. 12 megapixels, optical zoom! I bought it in September 2007. And it was treated so very well..no dropping, no nothing, hardly used it.. In September 2008, it started to freeze and die. Fresh batteries didn't help. Sometimes it turned on, sometimes not.

Summary: I purchased this camera for my daughter as her first digital camera. I really hesitated getting this one because of all the diverse ratings on this, but the price prompted me to take a chance. This camera does a fantastic job!
Summary: Camera was fine but had 2 serious problems: 1. taking photos in full sunshine w/o flash, every 3 shots or so the screen would say "Processing ..." and it would not take another photo for 10-15 seconds! 2. Tha battery life was terrible.
Summary: Hi, yeah the cameras good, but I just went through the issue of removing the software from a computer. Actually two. Not possible w/o contacting Kodak, finding the site, downloading the uninstall program.

Summary: i didn't buy this from Amazon...but, had to write a review to tell people to stay away! i've never owned such junk in my life. in the first week or two, it worked great...albeit, pictures are grainy. as well, if you're shooting video..
Summary: Background: This is my 3rd Kodak camera. I wanted this to complement my Z612 which is too big to put comfortably in my pocket- This is supposed to be my portable solution. I do a lot of amateur photography and have had a few photos used in publications. First, there's not many menu picks.
