Summary: Like: The price was good, it takes alright pictures and the video is great. Doesn't have a problem with blurring and came with a USB cord. Dislike: The focus is not the best and it requires specialized lithium ion batteries to operate. The batteries were not very expensive to buy from eBay but it would have been nice to know that they are required and AA's don't work before I purchased it.
Summary: I was looking for a camera for my daughter who just had a child. Figured this would be a nice camera for her to catch some shots of my new grandson. As far as the functionality of the camera, it's great. Records in HD and transfers easy. All in all a very good camera. The only thing I didn't like was the battery. With technology the way it is now there is no reason to include a non rechargeable battery. They're not very expensive.
Summary: After a lot of debate on what digital camera to purchase, we finally decided on this one to replace our old Kodak (DX7440) and have been very pleased. These Kodak cameras are very easy to use, with just the right amount of options for somebody that is not simply defined to the "auto" settings. My wife uses this camera to take product photography for her website, and it comes out extremely crisp, clear, and colorful.
Summary: This camera was easy to jump in and shoot with, starting with Auto mode and then using A and P user settings to get specific shutter or ISO settings. The preset modes work great to quickly jump from Portrait, Sports, or other mode. I was able to shoot the Thunderbirds airshow with nice results, toughest part was picking up subject on LCD which can be tough in full sun.
Pros: Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality
Summary: The camera does great work, but I don't like the battery. It has to be in the docking station to charge. It would be better if it would fit in a regular charger. The immage locking is very accurate and automatic exposier is perfect. I'd recomend it for anyone looking for a very fast and easy camera.
Summary: The camera is as expected and appears to work great BUT I expected it to use rechargeable AA NiMh batteries-WRONG!! The lithium batteries are 3.7 volt and the size is a little different than regular AA batteries. Nice if the manufacturer would mention this other than "alkaline batteries are not compatible". Oh well just Kodak trying to sell their batteries, just have to make the best of it.
Summary: When purchasing my new camera I was looking for 2 basic needs, value and quality. With the Kodak EasyShare Z1085IS 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom I feel like I found both. Although I do consider myself somewhat of a technical person, I don't like products to be unnecessarily complicated. This camera was simple to use straight from the box. The onscreen menu is easy to read and maneuver through.
