Summary: Bought this some time ago as a back-up point shoot camera and now it's time for back-up and guess what? Same problems described by so many others - horrible battery life and full lock-ups, especially when you have a good shot in front of you. Somehow this little monster knows when it can ruin an opportunity. I am about to effect repairs on my own - using a steel hammer. Then I will buy a Canon.
Excerpt: I received this camera for my birthday last year. I have really enjoyed using it. It actually replaced another Kodak easy share camera that i had had for several years. The camera is light weight, comes with an easy carry case, stylish, takes great pictures, easy to use. The only negative thing i have to say about the camera is that sometimes it will get stuck trying to come on or switching to review screen. It also runs my batteries down fairly quickly.
Excerpt: Hi, I had this kodak camera as I was really high on kodak products but boy I was so wrong. I had to buy a different camera as the feature of this camera looked perfect on the paper but actully when I started to use, it was really really bad. First and foremost, whenever I tried to use to take the picture in night, the pcitrue was blurry. I activated auto flash, I deactivated auto flash and tried all option but still the pciture was not perfect.
Excerpt: I got this Kodak z1085 is digital camera as a christmas present this past december. I looked around and was trying to decide between this and a sony camera. At first I loved the pictures that it took BUT I was trying to use rechargeable batteries and reg throw away ones. It was horrible. I went through a 30 pack of batteries one weekend that i was in a wedding. I had decieded I had to buy a different one.
Excerpt: We loved that this camera was so small and had great film and capabilities in a small camera. We hated that the camera had a horrible battery life and we felt like the battery was dying every time we turned around. To replace the battery cost a fortune and was not worth it for how often it died. My mother had this same camera and had the same problem with hers.
Great pocket camera all the features you need in a point & shoot camera!

Summary: Great camera, easy to use, great panorama feature.....easily stitch multiple photos together for great wide angle. Small enough to put in your pocket. Uses both 2 AA batteries or lithonum rechargable battery. Good zoom abilities and great quality resolution. Love the camera!
Summary: This has turned out to be an extremely disappointing camera from an even more disappointing company. The good: takes really nice outdoor photos. The bad: horrbile battery life, even when using the Kodak CRV3 batteries. These batteries are about $8.00 a pop and I replace mine at least once a month. Maybe last about 100 pictures. That is A LOT of extra money. The Kodak rechargeable batteries don't last for 10 pictures so that was another worthless purchase.
Summary: This camera takes pictures that are ok...good for the price of the camera. But, it goes through batteries at a ridiculous rate...even when it's not being used. Somehow, it uses up the batteries even when it is turned off. I have taken to removing the batteries after each use. Now they last a little longer...but it's a pain. I have to reset the date and time every time I want to use it. If I had known about this I would have never purchased this camera.
Summary: A friend bought this camera for me originally, and I loved it and used it all the time. Then I dropped it in the sand at the beach and broke it. I replaced it with a "better" camera, but I hated that one because it was too complicated and bulky. I sold that "better" camera, and bought this one again. And it's just as awesome as I remember!
Summary: This thing eats NiMH batteries like they were alkalines, only now did I find out that you should only use Lithium batteries. Furthermore, when this camera is on it makes strange swishy fan noises... Wouldn't recommend.
