Fabulous digital camera

Summary: This camera does everything well. The 10.1 MP resolution is superb. The weight and grip work well for one handed use. It came with two rechargable batteries and a plug in charger. Transfer to computer is easy via USB. Manual operation is great in certain situations but full auto does just fine. Lots of settings to fine tune operation but default settings will work for most.
Excerpt: We bought this camera when we found out I was pregnant with our first child 6 years ago. It has been dropped, slobbered on and generally mis handled and still works fine. It also takes video, which I love. The color on the pics turn out great. We love this camera!
The Kodak EasyShare Z1012IS camera takes the best pictures.

Excerpt: The Kodak EasyShare Z1012 IS camera takes phenominal pictures whether close-up or zoom. Action pictures are easy to take while coming out with the quality of a professional photographer. It is uncomplicated even for the novice, while giving results that anyone would be proud of. I try to always remember to take it anywhere there may be a chance for memories I want to keep or moments I want to share.
Summary: I ahd purchased this camera as a working digital camera and loved everything about it.When I fell on ice and dropped the camera I was upset that the LCD screen had a crack in it and would not function. Viewfinder was fine. So I thought I would just purchase a new one. Nope- Kodak stopped production of one of their best cameras. I bought the next closest available model and returned it in 4 days as it did not perform anywhere near this model. What Now???!!!!
Summary: I have had the Kodak Z1012 about 4 weeks. We have taken several pictures. Contrary to other reports it has not eaten batteries. I bought the rechargeable lithium batteries; they are still strong. I don't notice the lag time that others discuss after 3 photos. I don't snap photos at machine gun speed. This has a 12x zoom. I had difficulty getting it to full zoom, but if I keep pressing the button it keeps bumping up the zoom. I have not needed the full zoom.
Summary: I'm not going to bother listing all the features of the camera, others have done that. I bought this camera as an upgrade from my Kodak Z740 that my daughter conned me out of. I've been doing some really fun stuff with this camera like photographing the night sky. The 390mm (equivalent) lens really lets me reach out for long shots. Quite honestly, it has features that I don't know how to use and I just muddle through trying to figure them out.
Summary: I bought the Kodak EASYSHARE Z1012 IS three days ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive camera. It has a 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor, Schneider-Kreuznach 12x optical zoom. The Kodak EASYSHARE Z1012 makes perfect photos. Overall, I'd strongly recommend that item, It best camera for this price.
Summary: love this camera had several digitals and this is the best ! Great zoom and the quality of the pictures are fantastic. the speed at which it takes the pic from the time shutter release to actual picture taken is fastest i have seen in digital cameras, so u do not miss to many shots because of lag of shutter release here.
Kodak EASYSHARE Z1012 IS: Easy enough an Old Farmer CAN
8 January 2010
Summary: This is a perfect camera for an Old-Hands-On non Techie like me. The easy to use features include a program to load my pics in my computer by just following a few easy guided steps. Pictures loaded and camera cleared in a few easy clicks. The high Pixel count gives me clear sharp photos that show the tiniest detail of my G scale trains and models. Built in Flash, on board review and deletion possibilities.
Summary: I purchased the Kodak Easyshare Z1012 IS 10.1 Megapixel camera, the same week I returned from a trip to Germany. In which I borrowed my sister's Kodak Camera which had 8.1 megapixels and a 8X Zoom, at the time I didn't have a camera of my own, furthermore I had never had interest in owning a camera. But traveling throughout Germany of course made having a camera a must.
