Summary: To be fair to this camera, it is good and bad. It depends on what you're looking for in your camera. I bought this camera in August 2008 and now it's on eBay. I upgraded from a Kodak C series point and shoot digital and thought this was the logical next step for upgrading to an SLR format. I also really like the EasyShare software. I was very disappointed with the camera. First of all, do not be decieved by how large this camera looks in the photograph on ANY website.
Summary: I don't know why the system was refurbished but it appears to still be defective as battery usage is horrible. goes through batteries like crazy. take five or six pix, maybe use flash once or twice and you get battery warning symbol. check the batteries and find they are half dead. These are both the two sets of AA that came with the camera and brand new Duracell AA batteries. I believe I wil return the camera.
Summary: I just bought this camera at WalMart. I wanted the 12x optical zoom, ease of the camera and to maybe later do videos. The instruction booklet is far too big because it comes in many languages, but for my use what instructions I need is there and simple. So, only 25 pages are useful. I am unhappy at this time with the Kodak lithium CRV3 non - rechargeable battery that came with the camera.
