Summary: This is a nice little camera. It takes good pictures outdoors and has a nice backlight setting. Unfortunately, it does not take good pictures indoors. They always come out too dark when I try to use the flash. Color saturation indoors is not good. The best feature about this camera is the movies. They can be as long as you want, don't jiggle, and come out beautifully if you take them outdoors.
Summary: Most of the time this camera takes wonderful pictures...sometimes they are really blurry...I don't see a difference having a dual lens vs a standard...I love the simplicity of the camera because all I know is "point and shoot" (which might be the reason for some of the blurry problems) my daughter loves it...my husband hates it...
Kodak V570 Twin Lens Ultra Compact Digital Camera Review
Miss I Kaszas, Unbeatable
3 May 2012
Excerpt: The V570 is designed to be used by anybody, either skilled or novice - the user''s guide is very detailed and straightforward, the menu is easy to understand once you''ve read through the manual book (there are icons WITH title that you can choose from when you''re choosing from the picture-taking modes, and other settings are easily available, too).
Excerpt: I've been the proud owner of the Kodak Dual Lens for over two years now. It has proved a most reliable and compact little camera, which I've generally found easy to use and follow. Regarding the 3 X optical zoom, I have found in practice that it seems to take a long time to progress from wide angle to the fullest extent of the optical zoom. This can be at times frustrating when the photo subject requires a quick zoom in to compose and capture successfully.
Pros: Reliable, and has survived several forced landings on pavements
Cons: Zoom could be faster . Would have preferred more visible colour scheme .
Excerpt: This is a fantastic camera for stills or video with sound. The clarity of the pictures, even when enlarged, is amazing. I was astounded when I zoomed in on a picture and could actually see all the detail on a picture hanging on the wall in the background. It is very handy to always have with you as it is so compact. The viewing screen is large - 2.5 in and pictures can be edited and stored all on the camera itself.
Pros: Light, compact, easy to use, easy to carry, elegant design
Excerpt: I bought the Kodak V570 Dual Lens because I wanted a smaller size camera I could take with me at concerts or some other places where it is difficult to use my bigger digital SLR (Nikon D50) and so far I haven't been disappointed. The size is perfect in pretty much any situation and the quality of the pictures is excellent.
Excerpt: This is an awesome camera, if you want to be able to carry it around in your pocket. The display is decent, the zoom is good considering the size. The dual lenses are great for taking group pictures and single pictures, the panoramic function is pretty good, if you can line the 3 pictures up. I dont like the fact that you have to use a Kodak battery, which costs about 20 dollars. The battery life is ok... The dock makes it easy to transfer pictures to a computer.
Pros: Dual Lenses, Size
Cons: Can't use AA batteries, battery life not the best
