Kodak EasyShare V1073

PC Magazine
1 November 2009
  • Conclusion: The V1073 sports an uninspired design and a convoluted menu system. Fortunately its pleasing color values and high-definition video-capture abilities help make up for it.
  • Pros: Takes very good indoor and outdoor still images. Can capture HD video (1,280-by-720 at 30 fps). Relatively low noise in high ISO shots.
  • Cons: Dull design. 3-inch touch screen is very dim. Not all controls are touch-screen-based. Poor battery performance. No HDMI-out for video playback.

Kodak EasyShare V1073

  • Excerpt: Kodak has always been at the forefront of stylish products. The V1073 is, in my opinion, one of the best looking cameras in the market. The performance is way better than the earlier ones we reviewed – but as always there’s something lacking. The camera has a brushed black finish throughout, which can be a bit uncomfortable for those with ultra-dry palms. The large 3-inch screen is the USP of the V1073, while the touchscreen feature adds a touch of extra desirability.

  • Summary: Kodak's Easyshare V1073 is a good all-round compact combining nice images with some nifty features and a touch-screen interface.
  • Pros: Sharp images, touch-screen interface, good colour balance
  • Cons: Blotchy pictures at high ISO, minor interface issues, some processing lag at times
