Kodak EasyShare V1003
5 September 2007
Excerpt: Released alongside the Kodak V803 , the 10 megapixel V1003 features a very similar design in terms of size and button layout, with the only major difference being a piano finish body texture. If you've read my review of the V803, you'd probably have the same expectation (a very low one) that I had when I first got this camera for review. But, much to my delight, I was pleasantly surprised. Read on. Build & Features Visually, the V1003 is a great camera to look at.
Conclusion: It’s really hard for me to recommend this camera, even if it costs only $199 USD. Comparing this to the 8MP Sony DSC-W90 in terms of processing power and speed is a joke. And that camera only costs another $60 USD in the real world, a very worthwhile investment. Perhaps this camera is a good one for its intended audience of people who want a fashion accessory rather than a “real” digicam. It works all right for casual snapshots (4×6) but that’s about it.
