Summary: Waterproof?! first time in pool with children and the camera took water onboard (yes I had closed everything correctly) and promptly stopped working ... permanently. Can't possibly recommend this when it expressly states it is waterproof and its not!
Summary: I bought this camera for my daughter's birthday (following favourable reviews and thinking this would be a better investment than the disposable ones) to take on our trip to Barbados and she was so excited to try it out. The first day we attempted to use it, it filled with water and would not work! The SD card I put inside was ruined not to mention the pictures lost taken on the beach prior to entering the water.
Summary: I bought this camera because of the waterproof feature but I could only take three pictures and then water got in and the camera was useless. I used it with my feet touching ground underwater so no way it was below 10 ft. I will try to return it and let you know what Amazon says.
Summary: Bought camera for a trip to the Red Sea. Used in pool before hand worked ok. First time in sea the screen failed (I know it is limited to 3.5 metres but this was less than 1.) then after another day the camera packed up completley and then let water in, so very disapointed with it. I would not recomend it to anyone.
Summary: This camera was simply disappointing. The camera looked great, felt good - the recipe for a great product and you couldn't really argue with the price. That is if it worked! The batteries last minutes if not less before we gave up even after going through two battery sets, the inside lens fogged up with the first water contact. This was probably due to a defected product but recently I have been losing faith in Kodak products.
Summary: Absolutely gutted this Kodak camera leaked and failed the first time it entered the water. I bought this for my wifes birthday to use on our red sea holiday but when my wife and son did there first scuba dive with me snorkling above taking photos the camera instantly died. Just to make matters worse a whale shark past my son which we now have no photos or video of.
This isn't waterproof and dreadful customer service.
Mr. Andrew T. Austin "Andrew T. Austin", Amazon
11 August 2011
Summary: UK customers might want to check the significant number of negative reviews on amazon.com before purchasing this camera to take on holiday. I bought this to photograph whilst snorkeling and the camera failed after about 10 minutes. Turns out that this camera isn't at all waterproof when used underwater. Disappointing, but not exactly the end of the world. So, I attempt to return the camera, but of course there is no returns address on the warranty details.
