Summary: This camera [ASIN:B0031RGGC0 Kodak Easyshare M580 14 MP Digital Camera with 8x Wide Angle Optical Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Blue)]]came from Amazon within a week and was fairly easy to learn to use; however, there were two apparent problems from the start. One was that the Kodak software that was to be loaded to my computer from the camera caused my computer to lock up whenever I tried to download pictures to my computer.
Summary: This is (was) my third Kodak and will be the last one!! I will never buy Kodak any more. My last 2 cameras does not work for the same reason!! Battery problem!! I have bought M580 August 2010 and last week it was shot down and never came back. I tried all method that I found on internet and discover that most people has the same problem. Kodak is guilty to launch to the market such a bad quality camera, not good for the reputation.
bad camera...surprised by this bad product from kodak.

Summary: believe the previous reviews ...this camera freezes, blurry......... it only takes good pictures if you are outside with bright light.. i'm so disappointed with kodak. my previous camera from them was a c330 which is awesome, the only problem now is that i need to buy aa batteries..
Summary: I got this camera in March , this was my third Kodak digital camera, I was really liking it until I turned it on one day and the lens comes out only partially and immediately goes back in with the message " Lens Obstruction" then it just shuts down. I have not been rough with this camera, it has never been dropped, occasionally it will work say 1 out of 20 times being turned on. It is fully charged, appears to be completely undamaged, have tried compressed air.
Summary: Got an email from Amazon with a $89.26 price, when I add to the shopping cart its $94. Bait and switch? I was ready to buy it and even $94 is not a bad price, but Amazon or their parters switching the price does not make me want to buy from them
Summary: I CANNOT recommend this camera for anyone. What a disappointment. The battery life has been a problem from the beginning. Within a couple hours of using it, you can tell the battery is getting low. The zoom is another problem. MOST pictures blur if you try to use the slightest amount of zoom. I read the reviews on this camera before I purchased it. Most of them were not good. I should have listened to them.
Summary: This seemed like a great camera, but upon receipt it didn't come with a charger for the special battery it took, and no matter how still I held the camera the photos are shaky. I could rest the camera on a table and they would be wavy. Not satisfied.
Summary: I purchased this camera back in July of 2010. The camera worked great for a few months. Then started freezing when the shutter button is pressed. Even after removing the battery and completely restarting the camera, the problem still occurs. The camera can no longer take pictures. I will attempt to return, but, I'm sure there will be problems since it is off warantee. This is a bad product. Do not buy.
Summary: this unit has been nothing but trouble ever since we started using it. it froze up many times, we now have had to replace the battery for a cost of 42.00 at best buy. this was a brand new unit and battery that came with the camera. kodak needs to go back make something good again. i think i will buy any more of there products.
Summary: I bought this based on good technical specs, it seems to be the best value for money. It is not. Yes, zoom is really good, but it can not focus at room light, display shows colors strongly yellow-green biased, buttons are small and hard to use. Very bad nosy pictures. My recently lost 5 year old Canon ixus50 was much better by all parameters, except for less powerful zoom. Do not make a mistake, buy something else.
