Did they fix the following: 1. Can we now apply perfect touch in P mode to selected pictures other than wasting time to apply it picture by picture? 2. Does the new m575 save you last mode selection when you power it off, so for those how like to handle photo in P mode for their convenience do not really have to press mode and select P mode every time they power the camera (because of lack of Dial key) 3. In Smart capture mode, do we have to stick with the focus spot instead of having multi-zone focus like in P mode? 4. Are there any options for picture compression? Actually I do not want to be disappointed like I've been with my Kodak M1033

Ok, I got answers for myself. I tested some of the features of the Kodak Easyshare M580 shown at BestBuy store here in LA. First, when you turn on the camera it will start with the Smart Capture mode and to change it you need to press the mode button then scroll to desired mode and select it. As a result if you like to take pictures in the [P] mode you've got to go all of this procedure each time you turn ON your camera! Second, in smart capture mode, you can not choose to give Multi zone focus (for general picture taking) the priority, this option is available in [P] mode and may be other modes but not the [Smart Capture]. Third, indoor pictures are noisy. I guess the new Kodak M series (M575, M580, ...etc) are only 25% better than my old Kodak M1033. One more think I still wondering if they fixed the shadows caused by flash position more
