Summary: Bought the camera after reading the reviews, it sounded like a safe buy, especially for the price. Here is what I like: daytime picture quality, size, battery life. Dislike: you can't see the screen in the sun, its not bright at all!! also, HORRIBLE night time picture quality, and i mean really bad. one more: my old digital camera (canon powershot) had an easy to find power button (it was elevated).
Summary: This is an ok camera for taking family picture. But the easyshare software that comes with the camera for transfering pictures to pc is a pain. Everytime I transfer pictures using this software ( I have latest copy of it), it skips some of the pictures from transfer. I have called their support twice. They told me to do a routine - delete some files on my pc , then rename some folders and transfer again. But I have to do it EVERY TIME i need to transfer pictures.
Summary: I purchased this Kodak camera in February and was able to take it on one vacation. By early April, it was defunct. The camera would turn on but would not stay on even with the battery fully charged. Upon taking it to the repair shop I learned that it would cost more to have the camera fixed than I paid for it originally so I gave up on it.
Summary: KODAK MD1063 This camera works well for a casual "picture taker like myself. There are some disappointments: The camera CANNOT shoot videos in dim light. It does OK in hte daytime, but nothing at night or dim lighting. What's the sense in having a feature that you can only use half the time or less? The camera can supposedly be hooked up to your TV. However it comes without the required connector cable, and guess what? This accessory(cable)seems impossible to find.
