Summary: I purchased this camera in the hopes of it resembling my C713. Not even close. The pictures are fuzzy and they blur VERY easily. If anything is moving, most often the ENTIRE picture will blur, not just the moving object. I even have to hold my breath on many occasions to keep the picture from blurring. It auto-adjusts itself and focuses on whatever it pleases, not what you want it to, then blurs the rest of the picture except for its focused object.
Excerpt: I bought this camera to take pictures of our infants first christmas. Half way through opening presents the batteries died. Over the course of the day I changed the batteries 3 times. The batteries were rechargeable but the camera appeared to be draining the batteries very quickly. I called for support and they advised me to get different batteries. Different batteries bought - same problem.
The Kodak EasyShare C142 Digital Camera isn't fast on computers!

Excerpt: I use to take pictures off my mother's Kodak C142 Digital Camera, but I hated trying to load pictures off of it onto the home computer. It would take at least 10 minutes everytime to load up and sometimes the computer would get locked up and not work at all. My camera loads automatically when I plug it into the computer. I have a Samsung. My mom still has her camera, but I do think that she is in the process of trying to find a new one.
Excerpt: My children bought me this camera for Mother's Day last year because I desperately needed a new one. I feel bad but this is one of the worst cameras I've ever owned. With a name like Kodak you would think it was perfect but think again. First of all it takes horrible indoor photos, which was awful when I took it to my daughter's graduation. Outdoor photos are fine but who spends holidays and most of their lives outside.
Summary: I gave this 2 stars because it does take pictures, sometimes. I had reservations about buying a Kodak product but it was a gift for my daughter. It seemed easy to use and it was small and light. I thought the facial recognition feature would help her learn how to aim, but it is more frustrating than helpful. Unfortunately the zoom lens does not always retract, and I go through batteries like water. The expensive ones.
Summary: I purchased this camera after my previous camera had broken. I needed a good camera to take pictures as a gift. Unfortunately, when I tried to insert the memory card, the camera completely froze. I had to take the batteries out to turn the camera back on. Not only that, but each time I tried to take a new picture, I was prompted to set a new setting. (Ex. Indoor, outdoor, sunny, etc.) That became very annoying after awhile.
