Excerpt: I have had two other Kodak EasyShare cameras before this one. They were wonderful cameras that lasted a long time. This camers is not one of them. It sucks batteries dry. I have bought the expensive batteries and the dollar store batteries with no luck. I'm going to get a rechargeable battery next and see if that works better. The camera will not turn on some times. I have never dropped this camera but for some reason I have to push hard on the battery cover at...
Excerpt: I actually got this Kodak Easy Share Camera this week and it is a good little camera for the price. I got the camera because it was so cheap (almost free) with a rebate from an office store that I shop at. I don't think that I would buy this camera if it were regular price but for an inexpensive camera it works well.
Summary: ... I do wish, THOUGH, the picture quality was a little better. I bought it as a gift for a relative, however, was really embarrassed by the grainy, dull pictures, that looked bad even in the tiny viewing screen.
Summary: I purchased this camera for my mother who is in her late seventy's, she is not technologically apt; yet she easily learned to operate this camera, and is happy with the size and ease of handling. She was also very satisfied with quality of the images (8 megapixel capacity) and the video taken with this item. Overall I recommend this camera to those who wish quality images combined with an easily learned camera.
Summary: A certain degree of lowered expectations is required when dealing with a camera like this; it's essentially a toy camera with "grownup" build quality. I bought this for my 9-year-old nephew, and he certainly wasn't disappointed; it wasn't up to my standards, but for a first camera, it's great.
Summary: I would never reccommend this camera to anyone except to use with kids as starter cameras. I bought them to use in our art room at school and I can tell straight away that they are made so cheaply it won't take long to start falling apart. The battery door is hard to close and is on the tiniest hinge that felt like it would break as I closed it. The image quality is okay. Forget about using the zoom, it gets very blurry after only zooming in a little bit.
