Kodak dcs 14n: personally… i own the camera and have had it since its release. Dispite its slow uptake on start up i have not seen better. I have used it for school portrait, sports, and wedding work all in professional capasities. Most importantly and i stress this is Color. If the color depth cannot be recorded with in the camera its just NOT there!! I might mention it doesn't matter how impressive the image looks on the rear of the camera but how impressive it is on a print. I'm also going to…

I'm also going to mention Leica's new M8 uses the Kodak Cmoss and brags about it. A good friend and i took our media cards and went to future shop and tried every top end digital camera on the shelf, we compared all the images on a hi end mac for sharpness and color. Now lens sharpness can vary and lens sharpness can appear different different simply by the way the camera processes the blacks. So again it all comes down to Color Data the same way as 120 film contains more data than 35mm. So back to our future shop experiment.. IF YOU WANT FEATURES spend money. generally we would conclude the more one spends the better the initial image. and thats the point. Its intermal software that determines the output. But on the other hand if you want a good digital images Olympus and Adobe Lightroom can give you excellent results.. So again it all comes back to one simple thing.. RAW Data …Now most $600 and up digital cameras produce Raw data files and nobody who is serious about photography will ever shoot anything elce. So what is Raw Data? Raw Data is the data produced by the camera before the camera compresses the data into a jpeg or what ever. Now for A fact: more data = more color Kodak DCS 14n better and bigger Cmoss= better color and better image

Conclusion all the camera we tested in future shop produced good results dollar for dollar. but if it comes right down to color and depth of color none of the camera we tested produced better results than my old Kodak DCS. I also had A nikon d-70 great toy camera compared to the Kodak well I sold it.
