Summary: I needed a camera for a family event. read online reviews, decided to purchase. I am a photographer and have been very frustrated with this camera. Perhaps I bought a dud and others may work better but this one doesnt take good pictures. Majority of shots I take are blurry. Camera doesnt want to focus. Especially when I want to take rapid shots - it wont. Have missed several 'one chance' photos of my kids, because camera refused to focus. Not pleased.
Summary: I'd never had trouble with my old camera, but it broke and two months after purchasing this one, I still haven't been able to take good pix with it. I first used it at a college graduation and nearly every photo from a distance was blurry. The ones taken at close range are clear and continue to be good. I've practiced distance shots a lot since then and I might get a good one out of every dozen I attempt.
Summary: This camera is a great low budget choice. I know of no other camera at this price level that even comes close. View finder, 15x optical, and manual mode often cost 3 times this price or more. This 16 megapixel resolution is just wonderful. I never thought I would care for the smile feature, but now I love it. This camera has some issues: It has disappointing video, not HD and bad sound. If your emphasis is video you definitely want a different camera. The camera is slow.
Summary: had more features than I was expecting like the fish eye lens and smile detection. picture quality could be better. I was impressed with the quality of pics zoomed in on all the way. I've taken over 300 photos and the batteries that came with it are still showing at full charge.
