Summary: got the ge-x500 w/ bag, 8gb sd, and tripod around $140(good bang for the buck at the time) june of 2013 to upgrade from a very frustrating Olympus fe46 drove me mad to get a great shot then have so many bad ones.....hoped this would change that....for the most part yes...still get bad shots but much less frequently and as I have learned to use the functions better( but just because i set the automatic scene on sport doesn't mean an action shot won't be blurry or scene...
Summary: I've purchased GED Cameras previously with good results. The X500 is another Camera that comes with previous features with welcome additions. The Camera performs exceptionally in well lighted situations. I've captured dozens of "Blue Free" photos of Birds and aircraft; stopping them "frozen" in up to Cameras limits of 2000/sec or the "sport feature" automatically adjusting for lighting with ISO ratings of 200 to 800; and auto shutters speeds of 1250.
Summary: I used my friend GE POWER PRO series X500 16.0 MP Digital Camera on a criuze and the quality of the pictures were amazing and thus decided to get my own. It;s a great camera to have. I only have two other issues with it .The first being that whenever you extend the lenses it makes a freeky sound which is disturbing and secondly it from time to time says that it cannot write to card even when there is no issue with the card.
Summary: When I received the camera I noticed a pixel was out. It doesn't show up in the pictures and it's a wonderful camera it reached my expectations. Only problem was the pixel being out when I received it.
Summary: I got this camera just when I started getting into photography...If you love taking pictures of scenery this is a perfect camera for that but is also great for doing portraits as well I have done pictures of my kids at home that look very professional and I was quite proud of my work with this camera..
