General Imaging X5

The General Imaging X5 is a 14.1 megapixels digital camera that supports an 18 MB internal memory with SD/SDHC Card memory expandability (up to 16G support), 15 optical zoom, Single AF, Multi-AF (TTL 9-point) and Face-Detection+Face AE; The camera also supports 5.7X digital zoom, USB2.0/AV-OUT (Integrated Proprietary Connector) output jack, a 2.7 inch TFT color display with 230 x 400 pixel resolution, up to 3200 ISO sensitivity, and features Pan-Capture Panorama, Auto Scene Detection, Blink Detection, Smile Detection, Face Detection, Image Stabilization (Electronic) and Red-Eye Removal. The camera also supports Shooting Modes (Auto, Manual, ASCN, Image Stabilization, Movie), Scene modes (Sport, Children, Indoor, Leaf, Snow, Sunset, Fireworks, Glass, Museum, Landscape, Night Landscape, Night Portrait, Portrait, Panorama) and has PictBridge, ExifPrint Support, Multi-language Support, and High Dynamic Range support. Powered by four AA Alkaline Battery or 4AA NiMH battery, the General Imaging X5, which measures 4.02 x 2.97 x 2.68 inch, comes with a battery charger, USB cable, wrist strap, CD ROM manual, Quick Start Guide and Arcsoft Photo Impression 6 software.

Features

The General Imaging X5 is part of the company’s Power Pro series that features optical image stabilization and a 15X zoom that puts the user closer to the action. With an ISO 3200 sensitivity that supports the 27mm Lens, the X5 features Pan-Capture Panorama for wide-view photos, Face Detection which automatically focuses and optimizes exposure, Auto Scene Detection which automatically selects the appropriate scene type and optimizes exposure, Image Stabilization which overcomes camera shake to help take clearer, sharper pictures, Smile Detection which triggers the camera to capture an image when a smile is detected and Blink Detection which alerts the user if a subject’s eyes were closed so users can retake the picture. The General Imaging X5 also features In-Camera Red-Eye Removal which allows users to remove the red eye effect immediately while viewing images on the LCD.
