Summary: The zoom on this camera is aweful. You cannot take an up close picture at all. It will not focus. I put it on a tripod and still will not focus. It also has a long period before the picture takes. Most things move before the photo happens. I will never buy another one.
Summary: We bought two of them for our 4 and 6 year-old granddaughters. They we only a few dollars more than the poor quality made-for-kids cameras. The girls use them frequently and are learning to take them seriously.
Summary: I bought this as a gift for someone who recently moved to an area that gets snow. Lots of pine trees as background, mountains all around, and nice bright sun and clear skies most of the year. She loves this camera! It's simple to use, takes great pictures, has bells and whistles that the amateur photographer can greatly use, and it takes the latest memory cards. It's small enough to fit into coat pockets and big enough that if it fell of a pocket she would know it.
Summary: Good little 'point and shoot' camera at a price that eliminates the worry of lose or drops. I like the AA battery use, which eliminates the need of recharging . . . which can not be depended upon; nothing more irritating than a out-of-charge camera when you have an urgent, immediate need for a photo!
