Summary: I have been using this camera for a while now and it does take good pictures but has a couple drawbacks. 1. Pictures can be slow to save so you can't take fast pictures in hi res mode. 2. Does not have good picture stabilization.
Summary: This camera is of average size(compact) but it literally eats batteries. The brand of battery does not matter nor does the type of battery. But the pictures are surprising crisp. Wish I could find a battery to overcome this battery eater.
A no frills camera when we bought it. Still going after 4 years.

Summary: When I was a kid, I loved taking pictures. It was waiting to the pictures processed that left me wanting more. So, when my son expressed an interest in photography, I ordered this simple inexpensive camera - a first use camera.
"Battery Exhausted" always after a few months of mild use
12 April 2011
Summary: I got this camera as a gift for Christmas in 08 and by the spring of 09 it started giving me trouble. I use rechargable batteries, and it started shutting down and telling me that the batteries were exhausted. After 3 more months of use, it would barely be usable before shutting down.
Summary: purchased this as a gift for my daughter. Turns out the battery life is low, and replacing the AA bats twice a week can get annoying and expensive. (needs a rechargeable battery pack)The picture quality is good in high light settings but poor in low light.
Summary: None of the other features matter, because EVERY time you want to take a picture, the BATTERIES are DEAD. It uses batteries like a PIG, and if you can't use the camera, it's no use rating it. I bought it for my daughter, and had to apologize to her, shamefacedly.
Summary: I bought this camera in because the price. I was amazed of all the features and quality of pictures. I traveled for Christmas and I took 300 pics, then I traveled in summer, 1200 more pics, last Christmas again, 600 pics and my camera died!! It was never hit, well taken care but not long life.
