Focus Peaking changed my life

Libby, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I am a full time wedding photographer, and I bought this camera for my husband, who is my second shooter on some weddings, and has a ton of experience from back in the film days. He is now shooting every day, partly because he can take this with him everywhere. He loves it, and especially using the focus peaking feature when manually focusing. On the occasion that I've been able to play with it, I've enjoyed it very much. It's extremely capable considering it's size.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Focus Peaking, Great image quality, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
  • Cons: Short Battery Life

Beautiful Photos in a Little Package

Nick F., B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I love this little guy! After splitting time between a handful of film cameras (Minolta SRT-201, Contax T2, and a behemoth Mamiya RB67), it's great to have something that can capture images with such amazing quality in such a compact body. I feel like I have a lot of the versatility and control of my Canon 7D, but with a film-esque quality of the images and the added work of the fixed focal length. Very pleased with what I've been able to do with the x100s.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
  • Cons: Short Battery Life

X-T1 TO X100S

  • Excerpt: I just swapped my X100 and X-T1 for a black X100S. Why? silent shutter smaller - great for travel one-handed operation no temptation to get extra lenses (my Pentax K5 serves that purpose discreet - black won't entice thieves to think it is a Leica I had a X100 for several years, and realized that with AF and start-up lag fixed, plus more megapixels, better layout of controls, and a brighter screen, my needs are met What I don't like: buttons need to be more customizable...
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
  • Cons: Short Battery Life

Great Camera Technically

JMKP, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: This camera is great on paper and I can't complain about the quality of the files that it produces. They look great! The form factor of the camera and offerings don't fit my needs though. I shoot mostly portraits and thought that I might be able to make this work, but realized quickly that it just doesn't work for portraits. I need the ability to change focal lengths. I also do timelapse for fun on the side and this camera offers next to nothing in that area.

Lives up to high expectations

  • Excerpt: This camera is my *first* digital camera. I held off a long, long time (obviously), having shot film now for over 30 years. What I really like about the camera is that it's so retro in design that it makes me feel completely comfortable with it. At the same time, I have come to enjoy all of the advantages of digital: instant feedback; incredible control of lots of variables. Two other things: I love the fixed 23mm (35mm equiv.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
