The sensor lens pairing is astounding, though it does have some kinks.

Summary: Amazing image quality, I cannot complain. Better than a majority of the DSLRs I used simply because of the glass pairing. The focus can definitely be an use though if you do not know what you're doing. You can miss countless shots, and even if you do know what youre doing you can miss shots when push comes to shove. If you're okay with the kinks, definetly purchase this. If you've been eyeballing it.
Excerpt: I decided to write this, let's say review, because of two main critics I heard about X100S, and advanced compact cameras as a whole. These are: (1) compact cameras are pointless because of the existence of advanced mobile phones with cameras (2) x100s jpeg engine makes skin look artificial So I went with my x100s to a birthday party of a friend of mine and ...
Summary: Great camera. Always wanted it but I had to wait till now in order to get one for a reasonable used price. The latest firmware 2.0.1 has greatly improved the auto focus and handling of the camera. According the forums, now is the time for get one. Excellent IQ and very sharp lens. Pocket-able and well made. Great low light results. Can't wait to take it for my up coming trip to Vegas.
Excerpt: There is pretty little to complain about this camera and the image quality speaks for itself. The lens is almost perfect with no or little CA/purple fringing. It is a slight wave distortion that can be seen if shooting some straight lines, but this can be fixed in post (LR and C1 have presets).
Excerpt: I got this fella a few days ago. I first got it with FW 1.30, did not notice any problems, but after reading about FW 2.00 update, I logically did it ASAP. No problems here as well. Pure joy. Still getting used to it, as it is a bit different than the cameras I am using for my regular work. But it is a pure joy. Sometimes I feel like I am shooting an analog camera except it shows the photo right away.
