Best price and performance and take care of the camera :)
20 November 2014
Summary: Best price and performance for a 16MP camera. I have always hated the plastic latch for batteries and SD card. I have owned 3 of these FinePix cameras over the years. I broke the plastic latch on the first one and I dropped the second one denting the exterior of lens motion apparatus.
Summary: The camera is light, easy to use and takes great photos with the resolution that I was expecting. My only real gripe is that the camera allows itself to be turned on when the lens cap is still on, but it must then be shut down, the cap removed and then turned on again. the flash unit seems a bit flimsy, but I don't use it that much. Overall, I'm very pleased with this camera, especially given the purchase price which was very reasonable.
Summary: I had an earlier version of this same camera and loved it. Unfortunately, it got knocked off a table and the zoom broke. I bought this one thinking it would work the same and for the most part it does. The shutter speed is fast enough and the light is good. My only complaint is that the panoramic feature is a joke. It worked on the older model and I used it a lot of work, but on this model everything bends.
Summary: So far I do like the camera fine. I just have not had it long enough to really know my full response. Thanks for your interest. Contact me later and I will tell you then what my feelings are about the camera.
Summary: I just took it out of the box. Unless I made an error, there was NO LENS cap. Also, it did not come with batteries and in fact seems to use 4 AA cells. It has great specifications for $120, but I will not be able to test it till I get some batteries. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED that I did not see a lens cap in the package, as it requires something that will fit. I will check in the stores.
Great camera so far; received very quickly with free shipping. Looking forward to using it on next vacation.

Summary: Seems like a great camera. I have only taken a few practice shots, but even without the manual, was able to figure out how to use the various features. I am used to the point and shoot cameras, but wanted one with more zoom, so this camera was priced right. Since it does take four AA batteries instead of two, and with the extended piece in the front, it is somewhat heavier than the camera I had previously used.
