Review: Fujifilm FinePix Z20fd

Wired
20 October 2008
  • Excerpt: In the endless parade of cheap, shirt-pocket-size digi-snappers, this lithe, 10-megapixel, 3X optical zoom Fuji stands out for its excellent image quality and highly intuitive user interface.
  • Pros: Fits comfortably in pocket and hand. Four tiny feet add stability for low-light shots and self-portraits. Pretty, saturated prints.
  • Cons: Startup not the quickest among its peers. Upper-end ISO images are noisy.

Digital Camera Review
17 July 2008
  • Summary: Fujifilm released the Fujifilm FinePix Z20fd earlier this year as a follow-up to the chic Z10fd, a camera that Fuji took in a new direction with a social networking website and bright, eye-catching colors. It seems, at first glance, that the Z20fd is cut from the same cloth as its predecessor.
  • Pros: Attractive price, Hip style and color options, White balance performance a plus, Better-than-average performance at ISO 800 and beyond
  • Cons: Flash still problematic, AF can be slow, continuous shooting slower, Severely clipped highlights a persistent issue, The lens hasn't gotten any better

  • Conclusion: As far as entry level cameras go, this is a very decent buy. It doesn't offer very much in terms of features, but has plenty to occupy the beginner or hobbyist

Fujifilm Z20fd

Absolut Photo
28 December 2012
