Fujifilm FinePix Z1000 EXR Review
What Digital Camera
21 September 2012
Summary: Despite the large touchscreen appealing on an aesthetic level, unfortunately it’s hardly a success when it comes to performance. Unfortunately, and no doubt in some small part owing to the fact that touchscreen performance is now so good on smartphones, expectations have been raised and the Z1000EXR doesn’t meet these. The general function buttons lack responsiveness and often have to be pressed several times to be accessed.
Pros: Sleek design, EXR Auto mode
Cons: Unresponsive touchscreen, AF performance, image quality
Excerpt: The Fujifilm FinePix Z1000 EXR was announced in January 2012 and is a compact camera which can share pictures to a smartphone/tablet device via Wi-Fi. It is available in pink, white and jade (green) for £184.00.
Pros: Feature packed, Built-in Wi-Fi, Camera looks good, Responsive touch screen, Good image quality, Colour reproduction is good, Decent 360 panoramas
Cons: Mixed white balance results under our studio lighting, 9cm minimum focusing distance, Screen not easy to see in bright sunlight, Vignetting when using zoom
