Summary: Would not get this camera. I took it for a week long snorkel trip. the next to last day, the screen started to show condensation. The last day the camera didn't work. I double checked and the seal around the battery still works. The screen was the failure part. This is the second camera I have bought and both have failed.
Summary: On my second use of this camera while snorkeling it died - black screen and won't charge. This is an embarrassing product and I feel like I got taken for a ride. Buy a cheeseburger instead it will give you much more satisfaction.
Summary: I always read the reviews, both positive and negative, before making a decision to purchase a product. I had read the negative reviews on this product but the deal was so good I decided to purchase anyway. I figured with a one year warranty I would be okay. This product worked once! After paying $10.00 to return to Fuji warranty department I was told the issue was a bent pin and was not covered under warranty and the repair would cost more than the camera!
Excerpt: This is the worst camera I have ever owned. I find that the item you have put in the AF box at half push turns out out of focus and it takes so long to actually take a picture that the moment has actually passed by the time you have pushed the button to the camera recording the picture. Total junk.
Excerpt: I have purchased this camera So I would not have to carry multiple camera's with me. I read reviews and viewed so called pictures taken with this camera before I spent over 200$ for it. All I got was problem after problem. 1. Shock proof up to 5 feet. Yeah right! This camera fell off a top section of my desk to where my keyboard was. Total 17 inches and it broke. Just 3 weeks after having it so the repair was free. 2. Picture quality is crap. Inside and outside.
Summary: Just returned from my trip which was wonderful but I only have photos from the first 2 days. Great little camera till the lense fogged up with moisture I was very careful when opening it the 3 times I did, I should have paid more attention to the other reviews now I have limited photos of my children on there first trip to mexico a refund is not enough!
Summary: I have owned three of these and they all were worthless. The first had bad quality pics. The second leaked the 2nd time I used it and the third would shoot less than 100 pics per battery recharge. All Fuji Finepix XP series cameras are junk.
Summary: Don't buy this camera. I wish I'd listened to the other negative reviews about the so called waterproofness of this camera. It's sold as such, but in reality it isn't. This camera failed the very first time I used it underwater. I managed to get off one test shot, but then that was it. The camera died and hasn't shown the slightest sign of life since.
Summary: First, the battery compartment door began to be difficult to open. Then it became impossible to open. Trying to open it, I left three tiny marks on the door. And I do mean tiny - they were not 'pry marks'. Anyhow, we sent it in to Fuji as it was still, at two weeks old, well under warranty. Second, the company refused to fix it because of the 'pry marks'. No notice was taken of the fact that the door was faulty or of poor design in the first place.
