Summary: Used this camera once at a pool. It would not stay locked. We followed the instructions in the owners manual, and it opened under 7 inches of water in a kiddie wading pool, and was toast. Could not get repaired! Very disappointing!! WASTE OF MONEY. Will NEVER buy Fugi camera again!! Lesson learned.
Summary: OK, this WAS a great camera. But when you pull the camera out of your swim suit pocket after swimming to see that the battery compartment is wide open, it costs 116$ to repair. Summary: Camera was good until I got next to kids pool i dropped it in lest than 18 inches of water for about three seconds it it was toast. Not water proof at all and yes the the door and clips were all locked in place. I called fuji directly and they just offered to sell me another at full price.

Summary: There may be better cameras in this price range, but this one works very well. It actually takes better video than my dedicated video camera that had cost more than this. And yes, it does work underwater. Great one for travel snapshots. I take off a star because it needs to be less expensive, i.e.
Excerpt: I've been using this less than impressive camera for a little over a year. I a more in depth review on my website keiththewheelman.com under the cameras tab. I wanted a waterproof camera to replace the pentax I had drowned and bought this cheap.
Summary: The cameras after 1 year and 10 underwater tour take water inside! The seals are not reliable! The image quality is poor under the sea. Wrong colors. The movie quality is poor (always pixelation). In low light scenes (in & out the water) does not allow acceptable pictures.
