Summary: This is a good camera so far but I must admit I haven't tested the waterproof or the shockproof capabilities yet. It takes good pictures. I had a bit of a difficult time during the initial setup for wifi syncing to my PC but that could be due to my internet.

A great camera for the price! Not perfect, but darn close...

Summary: I purchased this camera specifically for hiking and backpacking because it is waterproof and shockproof. While I love it's 16MP images, I did give up features I would have liked in a camera for the previously mentioned features.
