Great for hiking and backpacking

Angela M Hubbard, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this camera specifically for hiking and backpacking because it is waterproof and shockproof. While I love it's 16MP images, I did give up features I would have liked in a camera for the previously mentioned features. It doesn't seem to like taking pictures in low light at all, but that may be operator error since I don't know how to use all of the features yet.

Durable like it says, but not very good underwater photos

miss joanna r juntila, Amazon
22 March 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this camera strictly because I was traveling to Costa Rica and needed a durable camera with water proof features. It definitely is durable. I dropped it a few times during my hike on the hanging bridges and at the waterfall. The quality of the pictures underwater were horrible. zoom feature really sucks underwater. to get a great picture of any sea animals, you need to be pretty close to them.

Worked great under water!

M. Ernestine, Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: The camera worked great under water, but be careful when using it not under the water. Wipe off the lens,in order to avoid water drops on your pics. Wasn't really thinking about that part ,but that would make sense.Camera took really nice pics. Overall happy with my purchase.

Good rugged pocket cameras

Robert L'Hommedieu, Amazon
10 March 2014
  • Summary: Overall, I'm really am happy with this camera. The only reason I didn't go to 5 stars is the very limited zoom capability. I knew it would be from the specs, but didn't think it would be a big deal, but it would much better with more zoom. On the other hand, I had concerns about battery life due to some other reviews I'd read. My experience so far has been very satisfactory.

Rugged camera for the money!

Scubakrum, B&H Photo
6 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Camera seems to work great! Lots of options as far as different modes etc. I bought this camera so I would have a waterproof camera to take to the beach, diving and snorkeling, without having to lug my Canon G15 and the housing with me all the time. So far quality seems to be good and images are well balanced color wise . Easy to use and maintain.

  • Excerpt: Took it out the other night in the rain with no worries. Taking it to mexico to an all inclusive where my future wife and i will most likely beat it up. Starts up quick, colour rendition is that great fuji standard, buttons are well laid out and menus are easy to access, plus it looks a thousand times better than the other waterproof cameras.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Small / Compact
