Summary: Good camera at a decent price. I would buy an extra battery and keep it changed. i wouuld also suggest you buy an extra big SD card, I purchased the 32GBone and it seems like enough so far. Fun adn easy to use and I cannot wait to try it while diving.
Summary: We purchased this camera for two reasons: 1 – upcoming vacation to the Caribbean; 2 – for outside in / around our pool. The camera is very easy to use for taking pictures / videos and for getting them off of the device to share them. It was pretty nice being able to use the strap to keep it around my wrist in the ocean or in my pocket in the pool. Using the video portion is also very easy and starts recording quickly. There is not much to dislike about the camera.
Summary: Great all around camera that can literally go anywhere with me... From skiing to hunting in the rain to scuba. Takes great picts and video in a compact, pocket sized camera. I had a Fuji WP for years and this is a big step up. price is more than reasonable for what you get.
Summary: ZOOM IS VERY BAD! As well the battery life when taking pictures not filming is short way to short might be returning. had to plug it in several times in a one day period I think it might be my battery we will see!
Excelent pics and video - Noisey Audio on video from camera functions
19 November 2013
Summary: Length:: 2:39 Mins So Far so good! Quality of pics is excellent, Camera Shooting Modes work really well - especially the SR Auto mode - very intuitive! I have yet to get good audio on the video clips - LOTS of noise still coming in from the auto focus, etc. I have yet to take it in the water but plan to next summer and will update if anything goes wrong! I've attached a clip that I shot in which you can hear the sound.
Summary: I like this camera but haven't used it much. I dropped my old Panasonic Lumix underwater camera on a recent outdoor excursion into some deep chasm at Johnson's Shut-ins State Park and I needed a new camera so I got this one. It has an HDR mode that you need to be careful with as that mode really requires a tripod due to the long exposure times. It is also bulkier than my old Lumix, but it also seems better constructed.
Summary: I bought this for a trip to the Caribbean, and it worked great both below water and above. Sharp pictures, decent sound on the video. Would love more than a 5x zoom, but what do you expect from a sealed camera with no protruding lense?
