Summary: Worst camera I've ever bought. Broke first time I used it. Claims to be waterproof up to 5m but did not even last water resistance. Returns weren't accepted and was not compensated anything for the 5 pictures I spent $140 on. Do not buy this.
Summary: This camera actually took fairly decent underwater photos but has a terrible latch design. The latch fails to close all the way, thus making it totally useless after about 2 trips underwater and 1 minor fall down a hill while climbing. Fuji replaced the camera once but is now refusing to take any responsibility. Go elsewhere for a waterproof or shockproof camera.
Summary: I bought a Fijufilm, I got a NIKON, NO WATER RESISTANT COLOR RED! No comparison with the camera they say sell. It is THE WORST PURCHASE I MADE ON AMAZON ... never never never never buy this ...
Summary: Do not purchase this camera especially if you have any thoughts of it getting even a little bit wet. Within seconds of going into Hanuama Bay in Honolulu the camera no longer worked. It was in about 1 foot of water so well within the 16 feet that the camera supposedly works. Fuji was not helpful when I called the issue in. I bought the camera at Costco more than 90 days ago, but had never tried it in water until now.
Piece of JUNK, Amazon should stop selling FUJI Products
Olivia and Luiz Marques, Amazon
4 November 2013
Summary: This camera was the worse headache ever. It flooded 5 times and this last time FUJI wants $133, and the new camera is $149. The amount of money spend sending it back was ridiculous! This camera is NOT underwater, and is by far the worse camera on the market right now, Amazon should stop selling FUJI products, this company does not stand by their products, the customer service is almost non existent, they don't contact you when the camera arrives to be fixed and in one of...
Summary: I bought this camera at Target a few years ago and it always worked fine until I used it underwater for the first time a couple months ago. It wouldn't take pictures anymore. I called FujiFilm to see if it could be fixed, and they wanted to charge me $115. Waste of money!!!!
Summary: Had this camera for a while, and it was ok at first. I didn't care much for the LED illumination feature and I just didn't think the colors were exactly true when photographing flowers (especially reds). Then I had problems with the teensy-tiny buttons used to lock the SD card in place. The camera was waterproof for about 3 snorkeling adventures, and then it came up flooded with water in the unit.
Summary: Mine died after just a few trips to the pool. The contacts around the battery are rusted. The camera internals are rusted. The usb port is rusted. There is a spot behind the front glass in front of the lens that clearly leaked water. I am sure I closed the thing properly. It has been a super disappointment and I am not sure whether to send for repair or the landfill.
Summary: I bought this for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New Guinea and surrounding islands, with hopes of capturing some images snorkeling off coral reefs in the pristine waters. Ordered it in plenty of time, tested it in the sink for waterproof capabilities, took a few test shots. Everything fine. Got to New Guinea, went to fire it up for the first day's snorkel--dead as a (doornail, mackeral, choose your metaphor--it could not be deader than this thing.
