Summary: I bought a Fijufilm, I got a NIKON, NO WATER RESISTANT COLOR RED! No comparison with the camera they say sell. It is THE WORST PURCHASE I MADE ON AMAZON ... never never never never buy this ...
Summary: Do not purchase this camera especially if you have any thoughts of it getting even a little bit wet. Within seconds of going into Hanuama Bay in Honolulu the camera no longer worked. It was in about 1 foot of water so well within the 16 feet that the camera supposedly works. Fuji was not helpful when I called the issue in. I bought the camera at Costco more than 90 days ago, but had never tried it in water until now.
Summary: I bought this camera at Target a few years ago and it always worked fine until I used it underwater for the first time a couple months ago. It wouldn't take pictures anymore. I called FujiFilm to see if it could be fixed, and they wanted to charge me $115. Waste of money!!!!
Summary: Bought the camera Jan 2012. Used it until the first time brought into a pool in September of 2012. Before I got in I very carefully check to make sure it was closed correctly. Worked for awhile and then filled up with water. Returned to factory on warranty. They sent a new one. I asked why it failed and they said it happens. First time I brought the new replacement camera into the water was July 2013.
Pros: Cheap. But since water destroys this waterproof camera, not really a pro.
Cons: Not waterproof. Poor pics even before that. Didn't expect much considering the cost was so low with the waterproof feature.
Summary: Mine died after just a few trips to the pool. The contacts around the battery are rusted. The camera internals are rusted. The usb port is rusted. There is a spot behind the front glass in front of the lens that clearly leaked water. I am sure I closed the thing properly. It has been a super disappointment and I am not sure whether to send for repair or the landfill.
Summary: I bought this for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New Guinea and surrounding islands, with hopes of capturing some images snorkeling off coral reefs in the pristine waters. Ordered it in plenty of time, tested it in the sink for waterproof capabilities, took a few test shots. Everything fine. Got to New Guinea, went to fire it up for the first day's snorkel--dead as a (doornail, mackeral, choose your metaphor--it could not be deader than this thing.
Worst camera I ever bought, worst company I ever dealt with...
Lost Boys, Amazon

Summary: I bought two of these cameras, thinking that when the first one quit (under warranty) that it was a fluke. It wasn't. The second one leaked after only a few times using it, rendering it a total loss. Fugi offered to fix it for over $100 or upgrade it to a newer model for $159.+) I could buy a new one for that! However, based on my personal experience, I wouldn't want to.
Summary: This camera tends to leak and according to FUJI personnel and reviews like others on Amazon, Fuji knows it and yet they still don't stand behind their product. (I can only assume that's why they keep coming out with new models with newly designed doors.)If you are unfortunate enough to buy this camera, use it immediately after purchasing (a lot), because if your experience is like mine (and other reviewers on this page), it may leak or have other problems.
