Summary: We have taken this tubing and snorkeling and have had no issues with leakage or damage. The only problem we have come across is blurry photos, but that's because we accidentally smeared waterproof sunscreen across the lens. If we wipe the lens (on a towel or swimsuit) before shots, the photo quality is pretty good for a point and shoot camera, in or out of water.
It was great until I beat it too much - My fault...
12 December 2013
Summary: I used the hell out of this thing until it gave out! Eight mud races, 10+ snorkeling sessions in the ocean, and tons of other outdoor activities finally made it give out. While I hate to see something stop working, I truly feel like I got my money's worth out of it. I'll be buying another one soon!
Summary: I purchased the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 a few weeks ago and have used it several times in and out of the water. So far I'm very happy with my purchase. It takes great underwater pics and when used for a large group photo on dry land the picture turned out great too. This camera could easily become my everyday point and shoot favorite. We're going to Cancun in a few weeks and I can't wait to try it out while snorkeling in the clear water down there!
Exceptional Undewater Camera --Used in the Galapagos
15 August 2011
Summary: This camera is a great inexpensive alternative to an underwater fancy camera. It takes exceptional video underwater. If you can get close to your subject underwater (Even saltwater as I took it to the Galapagoes) you will have a national geographic type of picture. Loved it. Recommend it and great job Fuji!
