Excerpt: I purchased a XP10 for my husband a few weeks back. This camera was advertised to be extremely versitle and rugged, but its quite the opposite. We are a military family and the camera was said to be able to keep out with my husbands job. He first took it out on a training activity for 3 weeks. Most of the work consisted of ship duty, and a week of being out in the field. When he returned home we loaded the photos up on our mac to see the poor quality of shots he had.
Summary: This camera was absolutely HORRIBLE. I bought it for a cruise and intended to take it snorkeling with us. Right off, I was a little disappointed with the picture quality. They didn't look good in almost any situation on the boat. Whatever, I thought, it's really intended for the outdoors. Well, I got outdoors and even in bright sunlight the pictures were barely decent. Then, the camera started to show all the problems inherent in the design.
Summary: Took the Fuji XP10 out twice; once camping at Lake Tahoe and again at Kern River. The Fuji functioned well on the first outting, but started developing problems on the latter camping trip: moisture started developing in the lens area, causing photos to appear foggy. The display became disrupted, as the moisture that permeated the camera began to make it's way through the housing.
Summary: We got the Fuji XP10 and loved it at first. My husband opened it on Father's Day. By July 15th the flash stopped working. At the end of July, right before our Disney trip, water got in the lens. I left it for 2 days in a bag of rise to draw the moisture out so we could use it on our trip. 6 days into our trip we got a "zoom error" message and the camera was not functional. Mailed it off and of course all those problems are not covered by warranty and they want $[...
Summary: I used the camera once with nice results. Then took it to Hawaii for some snorkeling fun! Ha! My mistake. Wouldn't even turn on. I tried lots of things and nothing helped. Am trying to return it, but I won't have those images of turtles, dolphins, fish, etc...
Poor contrast, high noise, bad design, awful product

Summary: The photos produced by this camera have unusually poor contrast and unusually high noise level, even at low ISO. I took this camera on a trip where my friend was shooting pretty much same scenery with Canon SD800 under the same lighting conditions, yet the difference in quality is striking, almost every photo I took with XP10 went straight to trashcan.
Summary: Fujifilm FinePix XP10 12 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Green) This camera was used only for one week and it leaked and stopped working. I did not exceed more than 2 feet below water level in a pool and ocean. Do not purchase.
Summary: I bought this camera for the waterproof feature, for beach and snorkeling photos. I took it to the beach and within 30 minutes it broke. The camera was never more than 2 feet underwater and it never hit anything. Water began leaking in the back display screen and the camera stopped functioning. Water also got in the front lens area and battery. Fortunately I was able to get the photos I had taken off the memory card.
Summary: Surtout n'achetez pas ce produit!!!
