Excerpt: For all the terrific features of the newer cameras, reviews seldom address the repair record or costs. We recently bought the X-20, whose on-off mechanism is a twist of the barrel. The lens barrel is attached to the body by three small plastic pins (less than 1/16" thick). We weree surprised that this crucial mechanism would be secured so flimsily. When the pins broke or detached Fuji wanted $370.00 for repair. They said the warranty is void because of "impact damage.
Beware, this is still NOT a UK model - bought 25th July 2013

Summary: I bought this on 25th july 2013 as my son's birthday present. Despite telephoning Amazon to confirm that they would send a UK spec model with a UK charger (having read the other reviews on here), I still received the european version. This has a 2 pin charger plug not compatible with UK sockets and the printed manuals were only in German or French.
Summary: The Fuji X20 is a gorgeous camera. I've only used it very briefly, so I won't go into detail about its function, but suffice to say it produces lovely images. However, the camera supplied by Amazon is the European edition, so the printed manual is supplied in French and German, and the battery charger is a two-pin continental version. This obviously doesn't stop the camera from being used, but other suppliers will provide a manual and UK charger.
Summary: Comparing this to the old model, x10, this is too expensive even more expensive than the old model when it was launched. So don't understand fuji's marketing tactic of attempting to rob her potential customer like me. I waited for this without purchasing the old model for almost a year but end up getting nowhere with this unacceptable price tag (0.5k).
