Summary: Many good things can be said about this gem. Everything has been said. I really enjoy taking pictures with it. Moreover, the five stars go to Fuji technical support in NJ. They rock! Two weeks before my huge anticipated vacations abroad (with my X-E1 as a main role actor), the flash stopped firing. I called them and after a short evaluation by phone, they ask me to send the camera for flash repair.
Excerpt: After going the DSLR route with Canon and Nikon I switched to Sony Mirrorless cameras. The Nex 6 and then the a6000. While very good, I was introduced to the Fuji. It's image quality is hands down better than any cropped sensor camera I have seen. Plus, it takes me back to my film era days when you had to "think" about how to take your photos and everything wasn't done for you.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I researched this camera for months before I bought it. After the firmware update for the body and lens, AF is quick in most light, though it still trails my Nikon D90. This "kit" lens is excellent, producing beautiful bokeh and very sharp images. Although it's not a terribly fast lens, on the X-E1, it takes great pictures in low light that makes my D90 with the 35mm f1.8g seem out of date. I'm seriously thinking of selling all of my Nikon gear.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
Excerpt: Camera is excellent and well built. Plan to use it for travel and as a backup to my Pentax K5. Don't believe the reviews that say the focus is slow. It's not after you do the firmware update. However, don't expect to use the camera for sports or action. All mirror less cameras lag in this area, it's not the fault of this camera.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I have had the Fuji X100s since the fall so I was already familiar with the controls and menu, so there wasn't a huge learning curve with this camera, even though some things are different. I've only had this camera for a few days but it's so much fun to shoot with this over a bigger DSLR. I did a lot of research comparing the XE-1 to the XE-2 trying to determine if it was worth the cost difference to upgrade to the XE-2, and in the end it wasn't worth it.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: First I was not sure about how it would look on the beautiful camera. But it will be totally in my palm and can't really see when I hold up the camera. Without this grip, camera may be too small to hold with one hand without the grip. It is a must for me, coming from DSLR.
