Summary: Update: Yes, it is true- the exposure compensation dial is way too easy to nudge loose, but there are plenty of reminders in the viewfinder and on screen and if you glance carefully at the camera dial. The rubber viewfinder surrounds are a pocket dust magnet.
Summary: Love this camera. I only use adapted manual lenses so I have no issues with autofocus. Colors are great. Resolution is great. Features are great. This is my most used camera. I take it almost everywhere I go.

Summary: I cannot love this camera more. In my film days, I shot a Contax G2 rangefinder, and for the past fifteen years, I've been looking for a digital equivalent that I could afford. This camera is it.

Summary: For the price (about $350 after a $150 instant rebate that also applied to the 18 mm lens ordered with it) the xe1 has performed above expectation. But be sure to update firmware when you get it to use all features up to date.
Summary: Awesome ergonomics and aesthetically beautiful and well built. Of course, and as always, the Fuji colors are the very best! I was going to get the xe2 for the additional tilt screen and wifi transfer, but instead I opted for a second camera body - the Fuji m1 (which has the tilt screen and wifi).
