Summary: Superb camera, with extensive features. Much better colours than any Nikon I have ever used. The majority of my shots are taken in full manual setting, about half of them in monochrome. A very good camera all around.
No need to spend $800 on a new camera, a used S9000 impresses at a fraction

Summary: I love this camera! I bought the S9000 because I needed something that can take better pictures than my smartphone. This camera is easy to use and very versatile. I post a lot of items for sale online and this is a huge upgrade in picture quality with a relatively short learning curve.
Absolutely love this camera! Great camera at a great price

Summary: The S9000 is by far the best camera I have ever owned. It's a wonderful bridge camera with the only feature it is lacking is being an actual SLR. Easy to use for beginners with presets and perfect for more advanced users with many manual features you will not find on a point and shoot.
Excerpt: Just put it to the test in heavy conditions. Image quality is flabbergasting, up to 400 ISO hardly any noise, 800 is not too bad, at 1600 there's definitely noise. Real good for a compact camera. I have been comparing apples to pears, SLRs to compacts.
Excerpt: Overall, a good alternative to DSLR for those on a budget and travellers. Large lens is nice quality, especially good macro. Also very useful for studio work. I've find the shutter sync works up to 1/2000th sec, very useful! Typical of Fuji, some functions are difficult to find and use.
I enjoy using this camera and my 15 Grands like what they see of themselves

Summary: I had a Fuji S7000 and upgraded to the S9000 and it has been worth every penny. If you want point and shoot it is great. If you want to be able to adjust and manual operate your camera, the S9000 is as close as you can get to a DSL camera. The S9000 is a great camera for anyone.
Summary: A feature rich camera with enough options to satisfy nearly everyone. From fully auomatic to user selected functions, the S9000 is a well thought out camera. The manual zoom lens has telephoto & macro functions.
Summary: The Fuji FinePix S9000 camera is a very advanced bridge camera, it has a DSLR feel to it. It is a big step up from the Fuji FinePix S7000 and you can feel the upgrade in quality almost immediately.
