Summary: I last owned a Fujifilm fine pix in 2004, then bought a Nikon S9300. I am not a professional and just wanted a great camera for vacations and family photos. I decided on this one after reading the reviews and searching the web. I love this camera. I wanted a camera with fast reaction time. I wanted to be able to catch those cute shots of my 3 yr old twin niece and nephew . Kids do not like to stand and wait and pose. And I wanted candid shots of them.
Summary: I was excited to get this camera and get to taking pictures. I have only had this camera for approx. 3 months, I have only used this camera maybe 3 times it stopped working the zoom won't come out. I contacted these seller and was informed that their warranty has expired so I now I am stuck w/ a camera that won't work.
Summary: Even though it is *last years* model I am pleasantly surprised with my first few uses. Color quality is exceptional and it is extremely easy to use in auto mode (haven't had a lot of time to try all the features). My first shoot was in the mountains where I live. I love the camera's balance (much better than my DSLR with long lenses) and the extended zoom is noise free, a problem with other cameras I have used.
Summary: So far this camera has exceeded my expectations. I first used it while sailing on a schooner in Gloucester MA and was amazed at the clarity of the pictures including full zoom. It took a few attempts to get the panorama function to work correctly, but once I figured it out it worked great. I'll primarily use this camera on the auto setting, but will eventually read the directions and make more use of the many functions.
Summary: Camera takes food pictures and people/animal pictures pretty much as good as the $700 camera I'd borrowed to use. Much more budget friendly, came with all the basics I need - rechargeable batteries (4) and charger, 16 GB? memory card, tripod, camera carrying bag (with straps), and a great size camera with the ability to take quality pictures.
Summary: The video mode is horrible beyond belief. It continually struggles to focus. The focus is totally unreliable. Maybe if you keep it focused on one object it might be able to focus on it and remain in focus. If you use the zoom you may as well forget about it. When you stop zooming, it will struggle to focus on the subject. In my opinion; the video mode is unusable except for something that doesn't really matter.
Summary: This camera is amazing, you get high quality for a heck of a price. If you are like me and can't afford something super expensive this is route to go. I have taken tons of amazing pictures with this camera and it is very easy to use since it has so many awesome settings. I especially love the auto setting which adjusts itself according to the environment. I have been able to take really nice long distance shots as well. I've been absolutely delighted with the results!
Summary: I got this package for myself for an early birthday present, as my patience with point & shoot cameras has run out due to shaky and lower-quality photos. Everything listed was included, so I feel I got an excellent deal. The pictures I've taken so far are crisp, especially in macro, which is something I've had trouble with from other cameras. The only downsides to this camera I see are that the strap was very difficult to install, and the viewfinder is really blurry.
