Summary: I have had this camera for a year and a bit now and have got to know it quite well; the way I see it, it is a camera that is trying to be a DSLR (ie. big expensive camera) but hasn't quite managed - but then, that is reflected in the price.
Summary: I've had my camera for 7 months and it is very good value for money. It has many features and modes to choose from, and a friend who is a professional photographer told me it is virtually as good as a DSLR camera!
Summary: Yes I researched Which, etc before I bought this camera as I have a digital camera already a CANON power shot I do like the Canon...but I wanted more from a camera...The Fujifilm S5800 for the money is very good value..The battery life is really very good..Menu very good and clear.
Excerpt: HOW can I even begin to put into words how I feel about this Camera!? I've had alot of crap with digital Camera's (Other Brands) then I thought, right no more wasting money on Camera's... I'm going to get an AWESOME camera that I can keep for years! Well Ladies & Gentlemen... THIS is it!
Pros: Beautiful Shots, Awesome Macro Settings, Also takes fairly good video's !
Cons: Maybe the size of it, but it is an SLR . It's to be expected .
Excerpt: I bought this camera almost a year ago and it still works perfectly. This is the third camera I own and is by far the best of all (my earlier cameras were Sanyo Xacti VPC-S4 and BenQ DC C1000). The 8 Megapixels are more than enough, and the 10x optical zoom works great.
Pros: 8 MP, great image quality, beautiful colors, record video with sound
Excerpt: I feel its a shame my s5800 broke, although the s1000fd i have now has far superior quality it was a great camera, ---PICTURE QUALITY--- Along the Long timeline of Fuji cameras this is one of my favorite. its simple design is great and it fulfills its primary function, to take photos.

Excerpt: Having previously owned a couple of other Fujifilm cameras and needing something to replace my aging compact, I took a punt on this and so far its proven its worth. To start with it fits well in your hand, is nicely balanced, not too heavy, your fingers fall naturally on most of the controls, and it...
Pros: phenomenal battery life, quick, easy to use
Cons: no image stabilisation, awkwardly positioned flash
