Summary: I own a DSLR camera and love the manual controls. However, wanted something which was bit more portable but which would still provide images which were better than the usual point and click cameras. This Fuji fits the bill.
Summary: I have had this camera for a year and a bit now and have got to know it quite well; the way I see it, it is a camera that is trying to be a DSLR (ie. big expensive camera) but hasn't quite managed - but then, that is reflected in the price.
Summary: I've had my camera for 7 months and it is very good value for money. It has many features and modes to choose from, and a friend who is a professional photographer told me it is virtually as good as a DSLR camera!
Summary: I ordered this camera on a Tuesday evening and it arrived, well packaged, on Thursday morning!! Fantastic delivery time!! I chose this camera because I already own a Fuji and thought familiarity with the brand would help in learning how to use it.
Excerpt: HOW can I even begin to put into words how I feel about this Camera!? I've had alot of crap with digital Camera's (Other Brands) then I thought, right no more wasting money on Camera's... I'm going to get an AWESOME camera that I can keep for years! Well Ladies & Gentlemen... THIS is it!
Pros: Beautiful Shots, Awesome Macro Settings, Also takes fairly good video's !
Cons: Maybe the size of it, but it is an SLR . It's to be expected .
Summary: There was a gap in my digital camera inventory for a superzoom camera. I now use this camera at the beach taking pictures of my windsurfing mates. OK so you do not get great image stabilisation (as with Canon)but then I only paid £90 for it from Currys (currently much cheaper than Amazon).
Excerpt: I bought this camera almost a year ago and it still works perfectly. This is the third camera I own and is by far the best of all (my earlier cameras were Sanyo Xacti VPC-S4 and BenQ DC C1000). The 8 Megapixels are more than enough, and the 10x optical zoom works great.
Pros: 8 MP, great image quality, beautiful colors, record video with sound
Summary: I bought this camera in November 08 to upgrade from my Fujifilm A800 for only £75! Great bargain! The camera is great if you are a beginner. I'm not quite good with manual controls yet and instead of having a huge camera like a Canon or a Nikon, this works better for me to play with.
