Fuji Finepix looks professional and takes great pics

Excerpt: I'm very happy with my Fuji Finepix S5100 digital camera and I'm not the greatest photographer--even though I aspire to be. I received this camera as a gift a few years ago from my dad who was a professional photographer. He liked all the high quality options that it offered and that it looks like a professional camera. I liked that it can take great photos when set on auto--very easy to use for a regular person.
Excerpt: This camera takes very clear pictures, with great color. It is very easy to operate. I had only one digital camera prior to purchasing this one and was a little unsure as to what brand and style I was interested in. The sales clerk was very helpful and showed me a variety of cameras---in different price ranges and with various features.
Excerpt: I have had this camera for almost 7 years and I love, love, love it! It helps me take pictures and short videos easily and they look much more professional than smaller, box-shaped digital cameras I've experienced. It's easy to store or delete photos and very easy to transfer photos and videos onto my computer. My only complaint is that there are no larger or different lenses made to fit onto this camera and offer more variety in my photography. Oh..
The Fuji Finepix s5100 digital zoom camara is very versatile.

Excerpt: The fuji Finepix S5100 zoom digital camara is very versatel. It is great for all kinds of photography whether nature or sports or close up pictures for ebay. The only problem is that it has so many settings, you really have to use it a lot and read the guide to remember how to se things for what you want. I even use it to hook up to a telescope for night sky shooting. The easiest way to use it is on automatic settings, but this will not work for such things as night...
Excerpt: OK. i feel i should preface this one with the fact that i once aspired to become a professional photographer. took classes in HS and college. (i kinda got a little knocked up & life went a totally different direction for me.) So i feel i'm fairly knowledgeable about cameras, but keep in mind, my schooling on the subject ended in 1999. so i'm totally self-taught on digital photography. anyway. the Fujifilm S-5100. awesome camera. i'm big on fuji.
Summary: I have purchased 3 of these because they are easy to use and great for someone just getting started. I bought one for my granddaughter for her High School digital photography class. This camera also takes nice video clips. The camera is overall a nice step into digital photography, however, it is now becoming outdated. Though these shipped with a 16mb xD Card they can use the 1G xD Card. Thats a lot of photos. The xD cards are increasingly harder to find.
Summary: Likes: I bought a used S5100 and have been very happy with the overall function. It has simple to use controls, nice zoom - 10x optical, with a built in flash unit and uses 4 - AA batteries. Video works great, but takes lots of storage on the XD card. Great little camera. Dislikes, I have man hand, so size is small, the display is small, and the battery door plastic holding tabs are easy to break.
Summary: I just received mine and love it. Not a bad deal for a lower end style digital camera. I am definitely an amateur who just happens to love shooting pics. The Fuji S5100 gives me the option to both point and shoot OR adjust for manual shooting. This is my 3rd digital camera and really was not looking to get anything besides a Canon or Sony, but am now a believer.
Summary: I love this camera so much, I purchased it three times. It has great zoom, nice clear pics on 4MB selection, nice video too. It comes with a 16MB card, which, now that the hi def pics arent 2MB each (about 800k), you can fit more than 8. I purchased a 1 GB card that can hold several hundred pics, as well as decent, good quality video. It comes with FinePix software which allows you to make a Video CD, DVD, etc.. which is nice for special occassions.
