Summary: I really wanted to love this camera and it does work beautifully for me. BUT, the battery life is SO bad that it's utterly useless. Loaded with four (count them, four) new, fully, freshly charged 2300mAh nickel-metal hydride batteries I set out to shoot some late fall shots in the park across the street. By the 12th shot, I was already getting the red "low battery" warning icon. After shot 14, it struggled and then shut down.
Summary: This camera is just amazing - so many features. Auto everything and it allows real close up photography (macro and super macro). Cameras costing twice this much might have a macro photography feature - this has TWO. I have only just begun to discover all its great features and will post an update to let you know how it works out over the long term.
Excellent camera for the price, surprising features, and beautiful results.

Summary: I love to take photos and use my photography in my graphic design work. I can't afford a high-end camera with all the bells and whistles, so I looked to Fuji after having a Kodak camera I was not happy with. The picture quality is beautiful, which is why I chose Fuji. I consider it the best camera for the price. I still have to learn how to use manual settings, but the built-in settings are great for just about any scene I want to shoot.
Summary: This camera replaced a more expensive camera but an older one which had to focused manually. By the time I had the focus done, the shot was already over, so I missed a lot of shots. This one has auto focus and it works wonderfully, Love that I have a lot of zoom power and the one thing I had to have was the viewfinder.... when using outside in the sun, the glare on the digital screen prevents me from seeing the shot, so I rely on the viewfinder outdoors.
Summary: While I am no means an avid photographer, I do take numerous photos in varying light conditions at many different distances. From mere inches to far off shots, this camera has some great quality and focus. The only issue I have had is while using the zoom at near max, the camera does not like to auto-focus. I have had to zoom back out some to let it re-focus and them zoom back in to sort of kick it back into gear.
Summary: I use the camera for close ups of birds, animals and flowers. It takes great close up photos and the video is really nice. I like the fact that you can use the view finder rather than the LCD screen to save battery power (it really does make a difference on the life of the batteries).Once I got use to it being heavier and larger than my small camera It's very easy to handle and to use. Set up was easy.
Summary: I just received this camera today and am totally amazed at it. What kind of camera of this type could you expect to get for only $150? I didn't think it would be any good but it is really fabulous. Setting up the camera for initial use was very quick and easy. The display on the back is nice and bright and clear and has an adjustment so you can have the display even brighter for use outside. I found the eye level viewfinder to be nice and bright and clear.
