Fujifilm's FinePix S4500 offers up a long lens at a low price

4 August 2012
  • Summary: A nice feature set and a long lens make the Fujifilm FinePix S4500 one of the better megazoom cameras available for those on a budget.
  • Pros: The Fujifilm FinePix S4500 offers a 30x zoom lens, AA batteries for power, an electronic viewfinder, and manual and semimanual shooting modes all at a bargain price.
  • Cons: The S4500 feels and performs like a low-end point-and-shoot. Requires a lot of light to get good photos and videos in auto.

Fujifilm FinePix S4500 Digital Camera Review

4 May 2012
  • Conclusion: The S4500 is certainly on the cheaper end of the scale particularly for the seriously generous amount of zoom it offers and in reality it has a slight cheap feel about it too – almost verging on deceptive in the sense that its smart looks don’t quite seem to align with its only acceptable performance. The S4500 appears as a shrunken DSLR but in terms of image quality produces results closer to the better point-and-shoot units available for the same price.
