Summary: I am a BPO Photographer and I ordered this camera because my Kodak EasyShare did not have a wide enough lens angle. I think that this camera is a good buy used or new if you are looking for a wide angle lens. The many features allows me to expand on the types of photographs I shoot. When I ordered the used fuji it did not come with an instruction manual but I still found it very easy to operate.
Excellent camera for beginners, incredible value for a low price.

Summary: This is my first camera that is not a point and shoot and it has worked very well. I has lived up to my expectations because I was aware I was not spending big bucks on a top end camera. It has pretty cool features and it will help you out in most of the situations by using its own set ups. Pictures are not the best quality all the time, however every now and then you'll be surprised of the quality pictures it can take when set up properly in the appropriate lighting.
Summary: My daughter took the camera with her on a vacation to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, California, etc. She took a few pictures, trying to figure out the full use of the camera, but what she took was quite nice. I intend to use it on my vacation to Israel. Anyway, (quite by accident)I took, what my daughter says was, a great picture where I got a crisp and clear shot of some tree limbs outside of my window, while having a hazy pic of a buildings across the street and in the...
Summary: I haven't used it that much but the picture quality apppears decent. I knew when I bought it that it wasn't a high-end product so I wasn't expecting the best photos. You can obviously spend much more on a similar camera but I was looking for something simple and cheap and that's what I got.
Summary: I have been around Photography about 45yrs. and have had allot of excelent equipment(Nikon)so I feel qualifyed to make these comments. I say that honestly not arrogantly. I was looking for a camera that had the capability to do what I require of it without allot of weight to carry around. I resarched this camera for two months bofore I ordered it in Dec. of last year.
Summary: Im really happy with this camera. good starter camera. this is a keeper. I needed a new updated camera that i could use both casual and professional. only thing i dislike about the camera is that it uses AA batteries and not its own battery with charger. the whole bundle with the camera was GREAT.
Fuji FinePix S4000 is a great middle of the road camera

Summary: I bought this camera a few months ago and am pleased with the results. It is a great little camera for the price but does not replace my SLR for special trips and artsy shots. The 14 mega pixel photo size gives sharp photos, overall. (Use the largest file setting for this sharpness.) I love the 30x zoom and even took a nice photo of the moon, which even showed the craters quite well. My favorite settings are the SP "with/without flash", "super-macro", and "sunset".
Summary: I purchased the Fujifilm S4000 after disappointment with a compact high zoom camera from Olympus (VR310). The S4000 was a bit of an impulse buy as I had not read any reviews. After getting it home and reading reviews, I was confused. Some are good, others not so much. I decided to put the camera to use and try it out. I found that the camera is very suitable for my needs. I like to shoot snapshots of friends and family either indoors or outside.
Summary: Due to some of the negative reviews, I was reluctant to buy the S4000 camera. However, the good reviews and my previous experience with Fuji (S7000 & A600), I decided to buy it. At first, I had some of the problems as previous reviewers. After reading the manual carefully and using the Full Automatic mode with flash (for indoors), my photos became clear and bright.
Summary: Fujifilm FinePix S4000 14 MP Digital Camera with Fujinon 30x Super Wide Angle Optical Zoom Lens and 3-Inch LCD I have owned a DSLR camera for sometime (Canon Rebel T1i) and wanted something I can take to places like the beach without hauling around the lenses, tripods, and the worry of damage to a $1000 camera. I want a fun, have a camera ready on the fly type of scenario... Yes, its not a DSLR CANON or a NIKON or you would have bought one. So dont expect the same here.
