Summary: I was looking for an affordable digital camera. This one has one pin broken in one memory slot but there are 2 of them so it' is not the matter. I was lucky to buy this camera with a very right price. The product technically obsolete but the quality of the pictures is excellent.
Summary: O.K. It is slow in comparison to 2012 models, but BUT everything else about it is still first rate - resolution, tone, reliability. And it doesn't eat up pc memory yet still delivers large print quality.
Summary: I love this dslr. I can use all my Nikon equipment and the prices are great and falling all the time. I have the S2 pro and this is my second S3. simple controls and settings. read the manual and you are good to go
great camera for pro or amateur or budding pro, for $ nothing beats Fuji

Summary: I had an s2 for years (is was stolen) and an s3. For the money, there is absolutely no reason not to buy this camera. And it's interface is easier to use than Nikon, which I have been shooting for years.
Excerpt: We've used both the Fujifilm FinePix S2 and FinePix S3 for studio work on products for brochures and web work. The Fuji S3 Pro offers a real advantage over other DSLR's because of the wide D range. It makes a big difference under the studio lights. The down side is slow operation, RAW is snail pace.
Good for IR, much better options for normal photography

Summary: If you are looking for a beefy professional-style DSLR then this would be one. If you dont want to cary around something that could potentially be used as a blunt object in a backstreet brawl as you are chasing other photographers away from your prized shooting location then look elsewhere.
Summary: I have the S1, S2, and S5 cameras by Fuji and the S3 is my go to body. The really cool thing about Fuji is all Nikon digital lenses mount on their bodies. Whether you use your camera to shoot family pics or you are using the camera professionally this is an easy to use uncomplicated camera.
