Summary: I've had this camera for a while now so I'm able to give a more detailed review. I really liked it in the beginning but the cons are that it doesn't take very good photos without flash- pretty much all pictures I have taken without flash come out like a big blur.
Summary: I have been using this camera for a little over two years now. (It was nearly half the price back then that they are asking for it today.) I am not a professional photographer and only take pictures when the mood strikes, so I didn't want to invest in a really nice/expensive camera.
Summary: This is an okay starter camera. If I had it to do over again, I would've spent the extra few bucks on a Cannon. However, the seller was great and the product arrived quickly with all items included.
Excerpt: colors, contrast and bokeh very nice. very sharp corners in landscapes very good stabilisation of video clips in wide angle very few CA's good tele photos ***but how to reach it? - reduce MP because of the small sensor***
Summary: Overall pretty good pictures. ...That is unless you have anything other than copious light available. The firmware has some glitches like it randomly turns on the speaker while in picture taking modes and makes white noise. The lens cap falls off for like no reason.
Summary: This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter as she is going to be taking a "photography course" in high school this next year. She was thrilled and has used it every day. The pixs seem to be excellent.
Excerpt: I'm reviewing the S2980, maybe is quite different from the Finepix *50 and the *90 but specs are very similar. well I just bought this compact bridge camera for my girlfriend who wanted to take some decent pics "maybe sometimes also in manual or not-fully-automatic modes".
