Summary: Background: I am no professional camera person, but I love to take pictures, especially scenery and interesting shots. I bought this camera in replacement of a Canon A520 that I have had for several years.
Excerpt: Exelent longzoom camera, but need alot of light. Image qalitie is good, however alot of noise reduction is aplied to the pictures even at ISO 64 for close shots, people, objects it is not an problem, but for landscape thads another story.
Summary: This is a camera I bought to replace the one my husband went off with on holiday abroad, and liked so much it never came back.... It is certainly a nifty camera, with a wide option of scene positions (built-in pre-set modes that are designed to optimise shooting in certain conditions, ie snow,...
Summary: No problems with the Camera, it seems to do what the description said although due to the weather I have only been able to take a limited number of photographs to date. One annoying item is the CD when loaded prevents the autorun on my PC from operating which prevents me from uploading photo's...
Summary: It's a very good Bridge camera for the money. - Picture Quality is Good - Set up is Good - Size is Good The initial camera is good - although better focusing options would have been nice (Sometimes it focuses on the background rather than the subject).
Summary: I wanted some thing that I could hold on with one hand. A view hole to still see the object when the sun is on the screen and can not be seen. Good photos and HD 720 video. Read proper reviews of it and / or download the manual.
Summary: PLUS: For the the price, this camera fits every thing I need, as for the 15x zoom, is still clear at this range printed out on A4 Glossy paper. Indoors with flash on, soon runs out of chuff over 18 feet!!
Summary: For the money, this is a great camera. It has the feel of an DSLR but is capable of point & shoot, which makes it very versatile. It doesn't seem to be quite as good a very close-up shots as I thought it might have been, although that could be me, as I am not used to it yet.
Summary: I have been a freelance photographer using roll film for 30 odd years and with the advent of digital cameras and 'phone cameras decided to retire. It was second nature to compose a picture using a view finder rather than looking at a screen on the back of the camera.
Summary: Had been looking at the S1500 but saw this was about to launch so went for the 2010 model. What a fantastic camera for the money. OK, so I am not an expert photographer but needed an upgrade, and this does the business. Great zoom. Clear pictures. Easy to download to the computer.
