Neat little package, full of features & high quality pix.

Summary: This is my first digital camera, so I can't compare it to others. Found that it is nearly impossible to get 35mm film developed conveniently anymore, so old point & shoot has been retired. This has more features than I'll probably ever use, and, as it seems with everything these days, the manual can sometimes be confusing or obscure. But so far have found it fairly easy to operate & comfortable in the hand. Also not too heavy. The picture quality has been excellent.

Excerpt: This is the camera I use all the time. I bought it about two years ago and have enjoyed excellent pictures, video (with great sound), and many extra features. I love the feature that allows you to click once and then it takes several pictures, one right after the other. I went on vacation and took pictures of dolphins swimming with this feature. I got some GREAT shots. Also, I love the fast shutter speed.
Excerpt: This camera has really been a very easy camera to get used to using. at first it was a little hard to use without reading the instructions. But the more i used it ,the easier it got. The pictures are very clear. I had been used to using the kodax easy share cameras,I then bought a pentax.I really thought that my pentax was the best camera i had ever used, until i bought the SI500 Fui film digital camera. I like the different settings that it has.
Excerpt: I got this camera for Christmas and I just love it! I upgraded from a Kodak and could never go back :) You deffintly have to read the manuel if you want to use every feature on the camera though. I am still working out some of those things, but for the most part I am happy. Most of the feature are really easy to use. And there arent too many buttons that make it confusing. I love the movie making option.
Excerpt: I purchase my Fujifilm S1500 to replace and older HP digital. I have been very satisfied with the performance of the S1500. The camera is under $200 and offers several automatic settings for the novice photographer, but offers more advanced settings for the more knowledgeable camera buff. This camera shoots great pictures, I have used it to shoot a lot of family pictures , the facial detection feature gives a nice clear photo portrait.
Excerpt: I just received the Fujifilm FinePix camera for my birthday, and so far I love it. It takes great pictures with the flash on or off, unlike my old camera which the lighting was always wrong. It is cute, but also stylish. My sister said it looked very professional. I loved that it came with a camera case and a four gig memory card. It can hold over fifteen hundred pictures. Also I love the fact that it takes AA batteries, because I can buy rechargable batteries...
Summary: Really great camera for the price. I had a coolpix and this beats it by far. I won it on ebay for a great price but would easly pay $200 or more for this camera it is easy to work and has great picture quality and speed. LOOOOOOOVVVEE IT!
Pros: For those who, like myself, got a good one! Far as I know, this and the S1000 are the only S series Fuji built in the past four years that has any value. The S1500 has endearing character, a great feature set for the money and is hugely entertaining to o
Cons: A bit clunky, heavy on such a small body. Will not match a modern travel-zoom in size and results. But it feels like a rugged, quality construction. Image quality is destroyed over 200 ISO. Slow but steady operation, a DSLR it is not!
