Summary: to be honest, if you're not as picky as me it is a good camera for the price. 4x6 and 5x7 prints looks as good as any camera I have. 8x10 prints look decent, but anything above is trash (I can print 13x19 with my other 2 cameras with very satisfying results)
Pros: (you get what you pay for) cheap 12x zoom, good image stabilization. not a bad camera for $120.00. Came with owners manual (on cd) at least.
Cons: (you get what you pay for) alas, no lens cap or strap(didnt expect it, but hoped anyways) indoor shots "with flash" a little grainy when compaired with my older s7000 and casio exilim. Video ok but you can hear motor when using zoom.
Summary: This was a replacement to an older Fuji I had. Unfortunately this camera does not have the same picture quaility that my old one had. The big zoom and high megapixels are great, but the pictures are very grainy.
Summary: My first experience with Fuji was horrible. They transferred me multiple times to the wrong departments and weren't nice at all. At one point I was told to contact another number which ended up being a banking number. The camera itself seems good but I'm nervous about the lack of support by Fuji.
Pros: Great camera for the price but I suggest buying it new rather than recertified.
Cons: Recertified means you'll probably be missing stuff like the USB cable or the lens cap. In my case I was missing the lense cap. You would think this wouldn't be too big of a deal but it is; Fuji doesn't sell lens caps for this model and they don't even know what size the lens is which makes buying...
Summary: I bought the S1500 for around £180 last year and haven't had much chance to use it until now. I can say that I'm fairly satisfied for the price but this is not a fantastic camera - I can't understand why it's received so many five-star reviews.
Summary: Bought to take on rambling expeditions so needed a camera that was "Handy" and quick to access. This was perhaps not quite as compact as I would have liked but ........... Great range of photo options. viewing Screen difficult in bright weather. Easy to use. Easy to follow instructions.
Summary: However I was hoping for a bigger camera. I can take good pictures, but I am thinking to invest in a better camera with changeable lens. The case is unpractical, much bigger than the camera and doesn't look so good. I do plan to buy a new case.
Summary: WATCH OUT WATCH OUT!!Just a warning for prospective buyers. If you are running a 64 bit system you CANNOT load the supplied software........so still waiting to try my camera..just off to find suitable alternative..!!
Summary: I've had my s1500 for two weeks now. It is easy to use, I've not felt that bothered by not having a printed manual. For the price this camera has a lot of features, and provides more scope than basic point and shoot (PAS) models. But. like others I have struggled to get a really crisp image.
