The Fuji Fine Pix S1500 is a fairly decent camera.

Excerpt: For the money, the Fuji Fine Pix S1500 is a fairly good camera. I like the shape of the camera body and the handiness of controls. At the time I purchased it, I was also considering a Canon in the same price range. The store clerk showed me a poster from a print from the Fuji and swayed my decision to it. Image quality is quite sharp. One problem I have observed and that is that the camera does not do well with low light picture taking. Images taken with low light...
Summary: My girlfriend and I have had this camera for a couple years now. Honestly, it takes really good pictures. We haven't tried all the features but we are considering having a family member use it during our wedding. Instead of paying a photographer $1200 we decided to have a team of family members take pictures and video. I know that sounds funny but we get to keep all the pictures instead of paying for each one.
Summary: I bought it about 12 months ago and it still works fine for me. But this camera is good for static scenes. It's hard to catch a moment using it, especially inside house where light is not perfect.
Summary: This is my second Fuji camera. I had a very inexpensive Fuji that I purchased with my computer in 2002. It was one of the best cameras I ever had. I even won a photo contest with it. When I decided to upgrade I did a lot of research and decided on the 1500. It worked like a charm until my recent vacation. I had the camera for less than 2 years and the LCD screen died. I can still take pictures, but cannot sight them or review them on the LCD.
Excerpt: Es una compacta. No es perfecta pero para su precio es la mejor camara del momento.Estoy contento con las fotos que hace. Color perfecto, nitidez suficiente, rapidez suficiente para una compacta. Problems: No tiene enfoque manual.
Summary: the camera itself works very well and takes great pictures. this is the third fuji for me. buying refurbished is not such a bargain, it came without a lens cover or strap. the cost of a new cover and strap are steep so if you buy them it brings cost of camera very near to new. will not buy refurbished again.
Summary: I had the s700 and it got broken due to a huge fall it incurred and I absolutely loved that camera but I thought I would upgrade to something even better (if that was possible) well it was not possible.. I upgraded, had this camera for 2 days and then sold it and bought the S700 again which is now costing more then this one which I know why.. Its a whole lot better.
Summary: I recently had my old Fujifilm finepix break after many years of continuous use. I loved that camera and went in search of the same model/type. Obviously, the camera type has been updated since the oriignal and I ordered the S1500. I do really like this camera, the images are good, the size is actually smaller than my old camera which is really nice, but the options for taking pictures are a bit more cumbersome than the old camera. Sometimes, simpler is better.
Summary: Overall this camera is OK. Don't like the fact that the flash does not pop up automatically. Also, in auto, can't set to top color. The picture quality is good. It is not as fast as I had hoped when taking action pictures, but can live with that since I have a DSLR this is great for action shots.
