A quality fun camera at a low price!
2 December 2013
Summary: I have 36 digital cameras and this one is my favorite. The variety of settings that you can do exceed any of the other cameras that I have. It takes standard AA batteries and SD cards. It will do a panorama photo, which is cool. And the super macro function is a must for me, which I have only one other camera that can do that(Olympus Stylus 1010). This is a real nice camera and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Perfect for amateur photographers who want to take impressive photos

Summary: I have owned two of these cameras. This has to be the finest camera I have ever used. I've taken stunning non-flash nighttime zoom photos from over 7 miles away of landscapes, buildings and monuments that were good enough to make posters and postcards of. I highly recommend this camera. PROS: It is the smallest 10 megapixel camera in the world, image quality is excellent, and has the ability to recognize and focus in on multiple faces at the same time.
The Fuji S1000fd is a great camera for scenic shots and portraits.

Summary: I used my original Fuji S1000fd for several years. I am a nature buff, so I used it to take photos of my perennials. The camera took lovely photos last fall at Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY. It also took clear scenic shots at Sedona, the Grand Canyon, AZ, and the desert area near the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, AZ. When my daughter borrowed my camera to take photos during a trip with my grandchildren, she jarred it and disturbed the focus mechanism.
Summary: For a beginning photographer it's more than what you need. Granted, it's not a SLR camera where you cannot switch lenses of your choosing, but if you want to learn the basics with many options and quality of both pictures and design, this camera is more then acceptable for a novice.
Summary: I purchased this camera to replace my Finepix S5100. Mind you, there was nothing wrong with my 5 year old S5100. I just felt the need for something newer. The S5100 was a 4MP camera - the S1000FD is 10MP. I loved my S5100 and it did right by me for years, so I stuck with Fuji. It's still in the family...I gave it to my daughter and she's using it now. (Still ticking after 5 years!
Summary: I purchased this camera to have more megapixels than my current 10.2 Samsung. I got a lot more than that with this camera. It is loaded with easy to use features. The display is large and clear. I like the settings nob to make quick changes without having to use the screen. About the only thing I did not like is that you have to take the battery out of the camera to charge it.
Summary: this is without a doubt one of the best camera's ive ever had it has all of the features of the more expencive slr with all of the convenence of point and shoot. i just finish college and my last semester i took a digital photography class we used the more expencive slr cameras the canon and sony to be exact after 10 minutes with the fuji im taking better picture than i did with those cameras the separate options menus in the fugi alow you to set you own prefrences over...
Summary: I love the tight, HD quality of pix this camera makes. I decided to buy a Fujifilm camera because it has been my experience with Fujifilm cameras that photos come out brightly colored and as I said, high in resolution. I am quite happy with my purchase.
