Summary: I bought this camera back in 2008 and it's still working perfectly, I am extremely satisfied with it, sometimes it takes a couple of second to take a picture but the results are really really good, the only bad thing is that the video quality is really bad, only 460x320, I can't blame the camera since I bought it without knowing this, so just take it into consideration if you're going to be filming a lot with it.
Excerpt: We got this camera when our first child, our son, was born in 2008. We knew we wanted a camera that was more than a simple point and shoot, and even though we liked the idea of an SLR, we didn't want to pay that type of price. We have loved this camera, and although there is quite a bit we would like to learn about photography, the camera is pretty good, easy to understand, and takes good pictures. It is easy to transfer photos to the computer, and is very user friendly.
Excerpt: I have a side business making necklaces and I bought the Fujifilm Finepix S1000 digital camera because I needed an affordable camera that would take more detailed closeup pictures. It's a great SLR-style camera without the SLR price tag. With 10.0 megepixels and 12x zoom on it, you can see great details and the images are sharp and clear.
Excerpt: I have a photography business in Fort Scott, Kansas and I use my Fujifilm Finepix S1000 digital camera for all of my photography needs. It's a great camera. It has 10.0 megepixels and 12x zoom on it. There's also a large LCD screen but I can use the optical eye piece if I decide to. The pictures it produces are very sharp and clear. They're high quality too. I've taken litterally thousands of pictures with this camera and I am really happy with it.
Summary: I bought the camera for a trip to Denmark I have planned for later this spring. I currently have a Canon Powershot G2. It doesn't have quite as much versatility that the Fine pix has. The Fuji was available at a great price so I "upgraded" to it. I like the pixel capacity and the rapid fire ability of the camera. I haven't played with it enough to explore all the features yet. I wish it had a "bulb" feature so you could trip the shutter remotely.
Summary: This is a very good camera, especially for someone looking for a small point-and-shoot digital camera. It takes good quality pictures and the menus are very easy to use and understand. I decided to buy this camera due to the low price being offered by the seller and the fact that it is a small compact camera that is still powerful enough to take good quality pictures at a good price.
Summary: The camera is a great point and shoot device, it is very easy to use and the camera menu's are very easy to naviagte through. The camera uses SD card for memory vs. the older Fujifilm XD memory cards. The battery life is good not great but, I would suggest a buying a second battery pack for the camera.
Summary: LOVE: -size of camera(IT'S TINY--FITS IN ANY POCKET EASY) -14 MP -user friendly -color -inexpensive LIKE: -battery life -zoom DISLIKE: -Pictures not clear when shooting at a long distance -special battery and need of external charger -catalog/manual is digital so can't carry manual and play with camera when you first get it.
Summary: I was really surprised at the compact size of this camera and really like its sleek design. While I'm still learning about all its functions,it's far surpassed my previous Kodak Easy Share camera. With its 14 megapixals and HD video feature, I get nice, clear photos and video, even in low light. I can zoom while shooting video, and I love the feature that allows the camera to take two pictures in quick succession, one with flash, the other without.
