"Fuji sells poor quality cameras for the money."
2 September 2011
Pros: If you don't mind paying ten times what the camera is worth you might be satisfied with Fuji cameras. Do not listen to Consumer Reports regarding Fuji cameras. Fuji cameras are living proof that money talks to Consumer Report raters.
Cons: Amateur quality among camera makers. Poor grainy pictures. Multiple maintenance problems with the worst customer service in the industry. If Fuji discontinues a camera model then your warranty, that was almost worthless to begin with, is totally worthl
Pros: The only pro about this camera is the panoramic setting.
Cons: Grainy pictures unless in perfect lighting. Extremely slow shutter speed even when it's manually programmed. Slow picture replay and delete. Battery-hog. You have to flip up the flash by hand or else pics are too dark. With flash pics are washed out.
Summary: I bought this camera based on other people's review, I guess I was wrong to listen to the opinion of others because this camera sucks. I took it on a trip to Florida and the quality was horrible and the zoom did not even work. I've purchased many expensive camera(s) such as Nikon and I have to admit, don't go cheap because cheap doesn't always offer you good quality photo's.
This Fujifilm camera was a DISAPPOINTMENT For Starters...

Excerpt: * Every-time You Finish Using this Fugifilm Camera, You Have to Remove the Batteries to Keep the Camera from Discharging Them. You Also Have to Pay Especially Close Attention to the LCD Screen. I Felt that I Had to Purchase a "Hood" to Protect the "Easy to Fingerprint" Screen.
Summary: I had an earlier Finepix S-5000 (3Mpx) and took some of my most satisfying photos with that camera. When the sensor died, I looked for a replacement and settled on the S1000fd based on reviews and features for the value. So much for value. My biggest disappointment has been pure and simple image quality. It looks good on the camera, but when processed in Photoshop for effects or enlargements, the pixel quality is the worse I've seen.
Summary: Check out the review from 5/25/08 by Challenging Designs and the one from R. Yomes from 7/10/08. Something is not right with this camera. I am putting my comment here to share my experience. I've been experimenting with this camera for the last month and a half. I sometimes don't get focused shots because of the delay and miss out on pictures of my children.
Summary: I was very excited when I first received this camera. At first the auto settings worked fine. Unfortunately it didn't last long. Then I needed to set up user defined settings. I need the camera for real estate & area photography. The size and weight were great. I have small hands and it fit well. Unfortunately when I used the camera to take photos inside a home, without LOTS of windows, it consistently came out noisy. It is so grainy even Photoshop can't clean it up.
