Summary: We bought this as a replacement for the family digital camera that was old and outdated. This one did not last very long at all. Granted we do have 2 little guys, but the screen on this quit working all together within 6 months. It was still taking picture, you just had to download the SD card to see them. Well that lasted maybe a month and then everything started coming up white.
Summary: I've owned this camera for about 3 years now. It is an overall nice little starter camera, takes decent pictures for a point and shoot. The video quality could be better ..... and it's not very good at taking pictures in low light situations (for example: a child's school concert where you're sitting in the middle of the auditorium, pictures are very blurry when you try to focus up on the group).
Summary: I really liked this camera but it just didn't last like it should have. After about a month it developed a dead pixel on the viewscreen. Within three months half the screen had gone black making it difficult to see exactly what the picture looks like. After about a year the rubber came off the lens. I'm not sure precisely how long it will continue to function after this (perhaps the damage is mostly cosmetic) but I feel like the camera is on its last legs.
Summary: I asked the seller a product question, took sometime to reply and referred me to contact the manufacturer. The camera charger could be a little tricky; make sure to plug it in the right dimensional area.
Summary: I like *almost* everything about my Fujifilm JA300. I've had it for six month, and have taken a couple of thousand pictures. Most important to me, the images are sharp and the colors are realistic. Except for one annoyance, I would give this camera a 5-Star rating: the battery/digital card cover design. Instead of sliding, the card and battery cover now flips up with the long-side hinged lengthwise with the camera body.
Summary: This is the third FinePix camera I've owned and it continues to exceed expectations. The 10X optical zoom adds a punch to this little pocket camera that belies its small size. Add to that the greater sensitivity of the CCD and increased MP and you've got a versatile, take everywhere camera that captures your child in the orchestra's back row with ambient lighting just as beautifully as its fast shutter speed grabs his goal making assist or your daughter's first steps.
